Game it's mid at best, has few guns, it's repetitive as heck, Has a couple of bugs too

A Far Cry game in an urban environment (Philadelphia), with more mechanics like the great gadgets (inspired by Rage 1 but more useful), the amazing weapons conversion, the allies recruitment system (though rudimentary). The city looks amazing, it is filled with a lot of details, graphics are gorgeous, you really feel you are in an occupied city with different levels of oppression in different areas. There aren't activities like in Far Cry though, everything is focused on the story and the oppression you have to deal with, as you can't walk freely in the streets ; activities would be absolutely out of place. The game captures in a much better way the guerilla warfare than any Far Cry game since FC3 (FC2 was able to do that) and you are always on the run or fighting, or just hiding. The cutscenes are good, the acting is solid. I don't understand the negative comments on the gunfeel, it is absolutely fantastic, weapons feel heavier than in Far Cry games, for a more authentic feel, they are all amazing. "Unfortunately", I recommend to put silencers on your weapons and therefore to lose their great sounds but, trust me, the LMG like weapon with a silencer is mandatory, it is stable, deadly and silent (like in the Far Cry games...) ; couple it with a sticky mines launcher and a silent submachine gun and you can deal with all situations (the LMG is so stable that you rarely need the sniper). The game is harder than the usual Far Cry games and quiet brutal at the beginning. But only one mission gave me some hard time and it was doable by being really cautious and patient. Overall it is a fair game. About the DLCs, there are 3 story expensions. One is set underground in the metro, it's ok, a linear gameplay, with quiet open areas for the firefights. Another is about a rescue mission and is linear in the Call of Duty style, not great at all, just a generic FPS experience. The last one is dealing with non urban open areas and ending the story ; it is good; although I prefer the urban environments from the main game. One last thing : the coop missions. They are great and fun, not enough in quantity. If you have at least one friend to play with, don't miss the opportunity. You have to level up your character to get upgrades and you can create several ones with different abilities to get different experiences. If you get the game and its DLCs on sale, you won't be disappointed, event if it isn't perfect. It is like if Far Cry was set in a city and more focused on its story (more linear although in an open world).
