I can't get any progress in the game because it crashes every 10 minutes

Homefront the Revolution is slop of a different era, different even than when it was released. Cast your mind back to when the default game was a modern military first person shooter (MMFPS) and Call of Duty was the worst thing the industry could imagine. That's the time that this game belongs, it drew undeserved ire on release that I can only understand as bafflement that such a vestigial aspect of the prior generation had not just persisted, but released beyond its time. Almost like seeing a tyrannosaurus walk down the street, only much less impressive.
There was some higher asperation in game design, but the guns are pretty limp, there's some beyond rudimentary stealth, okay feeling vehicles, it's all kind of passible-ish... sort of. It reduces the open world and greater relative freedom of approach in some instances to being small peaks of enjoyment rather than anything great.
If this game came out a few years earlier, people would've been fine with it. If I had played it back then, I'd probably be singing it's praise as a forward thinking and ambitious game wrapped in a MMFPS coating. But I didn't, and as such I really don't care about it. It doesn't evoke much of anything from me, it's totally fine and for $3 on sale I couldn't really recommend it or not.
The only thing that pushes me into decision is TimeSplitters, the real reason I bought this.
It's ok, it takes wayyy too long to unlock and it doesn't work well for actually experiencing the game instead of single levels. Honestly, just go emulate it. You'll have to anyway to play the other 2 games if you really enjoy it and it probably just works better than it does here. Even if you think emulators are REALLY complicated, it took me around 6 hours to unlock TS2 in this game and I doubt you'll spend that much time on the emulator, even if you do you'll have learned something and not have your time mildly wasted.

Game is sort of meh, but was apparently duct taped together and released at the last second. So, it is relatively impressive from that perspective. Basically a super budget Far Cry in a city. Story is meh, gunplay is meh, definitely a bit buggy. Game makes up for it by having a few unique game design choices and flawed (in a good way) characters. Pretty fun for 3 dollars.

This is isn't like the first homefront. if you're a person who likes single player shooters and can get this for a cheap price it can be fun and is worth a shot. there are alot of very confusing capture points which the game gives you no help. that can make the game frustrating and boring. The story is interesting and has moments of action and stealth and Takes around 12 or so Hours to complete. The graphics to this game are amazing for how old of a game it is. 6.8/10

"We have New Order at home"
A sloppy/if sometimes engaging experience. A pretty blatant far-cry clone with a laughably ridiculous premise and badly told story; but i cant deny its immersive sim light design and better then average combat sandbox makes it a oddly nostalgic experience. You can see the glimmers of the smarter game buried under the all the dumb stuff.
The DLC is honestly fantastic though; providing some genuinely great combat and pace.
A decent time; if cheap.

I absolutely loved this game. While it is not without its bugs, I couldn't peel myself away from it once I started. Great story, mechanics, gun-play, and enough freedom to do things in many different ways. Will be playing again soon!

The game looks and runs well. But it's so boring. The same thing over and over. Kill a few enemies and capture a building.
When you are riding on the motorcycle. You can't even open your map. You need to hop off. Open map then hop back on. When you are on your phone looking for a supply crate. You can't jump or other actions. You need to hop off your phone. Move then back on your cell.

"A beautiful disaster worth your patience"
Homefront: The Revolution is both brilliant and frustrating — a breath of fresh air where the developers dared to experiment and bring something new to the table. And for that alone, it deserves recognition.
That said, the game is undeniably broken in many ways. There are so many flaws that listing them all here feels pointless. Just know that this is not a polished experience — it’s a rough gem that constantly demands your patience and forgiveness.
Still, I’m leaving a positive review. Why? Because this game has scenes, ideas, and moments that most modern studios wouldn’t have the guts to include. It’s bold. It tries. It fails often, but it tries, and that matters.
Buy it — but only at a deep discount. You’ll need to give it a second chance… again and again. But if you can endure its many flaws, you’ll find something special underneath.
To the developers: don’t give up. Learn from this, and move forward. You have vision — now refine it.
