Yeah, it's awesome.
First off, you are able to play way a Kindred from way more clans than other games (even Ministry/Follower of Set!), and this game is just really well written and very fun. It has a somewhat half-linear structure in the sense of the player being able to choose the order of the missions they tackles. All of them plays with very different options and all type of builds should be able to reach the end !
Overall it's a text-adventure that just have a lot of opportunites and options to it, which makes replaying the game quite interesting despite knowing what the bigger script is. My only complain would be that you play as a Kindred kind of disconnected from his clan, therefore you won't have much exploration of said clan if that's what you are looking for. You are thrown some mini scenes in the form of flashbacks, but you won't have the ability to properly side with and for your clan.

Fan-fiction level writing, characters that lack substance or don't make sense, unsatisfying choices... I just don't understand people comparing this game to bloodlines. I found "out for blood" way better even though far from perfect.

A gamebook video game in the WoD universe? I'm in! The story is rich, the writing is nice, and last but not least the TTRPG rules are respected. I'd love to see this game in another language for more fans to discover!

While Coteries of New York left me on my hunger, the stories in this game are far richer. The texts and illustration were enough to immerse me in the universe. The game is automatically saved each time you progress but you're not supposed to save several games in case you wanted to try different options. For that you'll have to start again from the beginning. It makes the game look more like a Dungeon and Dragon session where every decision can have irremediable consequences. Fortunately, the second time you play the game, you can go through the plot very fast since you don't have to read the text. There are many ways to die but as long as you chose the actions which recquire your best skills, you should be okay without having to start again from scratch.

What other reviews say is true:
Story is far more customized to your decisions than visual novels and other video games, or than any "choose your adventure book". In addition, it's mature enough but not in a wicked way, still proper and adapted to youth.
Let's give you an example.
I chose a clan (Assamite). The characters I had in my background story, and the reactions to almost any character I had, all had something in it that was related to my choice. Which is pretty amazing. I can't tell you which ones beause that would spoil you. I guess that on my second playthrough I would see everything that is the same and everything that is different, and I would be far less amazed ; but for now as a first game it is truly a nice feat from the writer and something I appreciate.
Same goes for vehicles I pick, clothes I take, and so on.
Contrary to many choose your own adventure books I don't die like that by choosing an option. The story builds itself and if I use the attributes where my character are strong, I haven't failed so far. If I don't, my character usually has to see that won't do it and has to cancel it. It's possible I will feel it a bit too easy, but we'll see.
Contrary to one review I saw, there are illustrations and far more than one at that, mostly about important characters or scenes. as seen on screenshots. The character sheet is also a vampire character sheet when you receive mutliple choices, and if you activated storyteller mode which tells you which attributes will be tested it is interesting to remember your character stats. I advise to put them on paper near you but actually I could just as well check my character sheet ingame, I am not exactly in a rush when playing.
The flaw there is to this adventure is more about the immersive experience in the text and UI.
The text is great, but there are also many non native english players trying this game so as you can guess until this is translated, it is a bit intense in english and foreign language for many people.
But what I meant is that the UI could have made the textual experience more immersive ; such as having different fonts, colors, backgrounds, presentations and text animations. A bit like what you have on the other kind of vampire novels.
Also, when hovering the mouse on an option that uses attributes, the game should put a nice reminder of how much we have in these attributes.
Also, there could have been some reminder of the background of some clans, for players who don't access that on google or have knowledge about it.
In addition, having music is easy to program, and we should have had that. In addition, having a few scary sound effects on some specific scenes would have been nice. And then, more sound effects such as opening your door, car engine when you travel to another place, etc. I understand it's still some 20% additional work to implement all these sound effects but it's about being generous to your players.
For music however, it's much more simple to have that, so it's sad we don't have it.
I play another music from tabletop sites for now.
As a programmer myself I made an "adventure book" program 20 years ago, with the same kind of description text, black text over the same kind of color background, radio buttons, and skills being tested to make options appear or not, and a toolkit to create our own adventures, and all that program did not take much time to make.
I mean that what you are paying for is not actually the program.
What you are paying for, and what is great: is the immense amount of creative work you will enjoy, work that the creator put into writing all this.
Congratulations to all that creative work in bringing an immersive and dynamic experience; it is like being in a roleplaying tabletop game, and it's still a little more dynamic than playing with some storytellers I know (well, I guess that's not a compliment to them, haha :D)
There are things a bit lacking in the "experience", and I have to see if a second playthrough will be different enough from the first one!
