[h1] Battlefield + Red Orchestra 2 + Call Of Duty + Post Scriptum + A bit of Company Of Heroes [/h1] Now before I start: [b] I only recommend this game because of the fact that it is so dirt cheap, is still being worked on and improved and also because it has a good concept [/b] In this game you fight as a US or Wehrmacht soldier in the second world war. The campaign takes you from Omaha Beach to Caen. You select as wich country you want to play the current mission. Then you select a unit and a class, then you'll spawn. When you die you can select another unit/class. The game has a map editor and actually this was the reason I bought it. To be honest I just dont think the basic missions are entertaining enough (still worth the 2€ though). Yet the map editor adds some diversity and gives you the option to create some really fucked up shit. [i] Now I will quickly list some [b] cons [/b] of this game: [/i] - Acceptable but not good looking graphics - Bad Optimization (unstable framerate, extreme lags when playing missions with more than 30-40 soldiers alive at the same time) - Generic gameplay - When spawning as a paratrooper it takes a billion years till you land but at the same time you can noscope people on up to 500m range so the balance between fun gameplay and realism is a bit odd - Very few content in the map editor. This is said because it would have added a lot of variety. - Bad overview in the map editor - Smaller flaws (tab is the default key for changing weapon and mousewheel is unassigned. Pressing T will just end the mission. Adjusting camera spead and rotating objects in the map editor doesnt work too well) -Absolutely no story (not necessarily a con but I would have wished for some generic ww2 story or intro video) - You can loot people but it kinda doesnt fit into the rest of the game. Also recruits spawn without ammo wich is kinda weird. - not much destructable environment - driving a tank can be quite hard wich makes it a fun thing but not useful if you want to kill enemy [i] Now to the [b] Pros [/b] : [/i] - Cool scenario - Has a map editor - Decent variety of classes and weapons - Character Phrases - Different kinds of mission objectives - Not really clever but also not terribly stupid AI like many other small games have (enemies will manage to kill you and wont get stuck in a wall but they still arent that good) - Basically just like any CoD just without cutscenes but for a better price - Complex tank driving - Realistic recoil - All classes have a purpose - German guy wearing underpants in the tutorial [spoiler] So overall this game has many flaws and a lot of the things need some fixing. Still I really liked the idea and some of the gameplay elements. I do recommend this game for the price of 2,09€ wich is what I payed for it. Yet it's still up to you wether you want to buy it. Were the pros bigger than the cons? Objectively they weren't. But maybe they are for you. Here's what I would like to be added/fixed so I can fully recommend this game without thinking about it: [b] - Coop mode [/b] - Being able to hold grenades in your hand and [i] then [/i] throw them [b] - Easier to use tanks with the same core mechanics [/b] [b] - More structures and other options in the map editor [/b] [b] - More pride and accomplishment. Sounds weird but I'd simply like some sort of tiny little cutscene at the end of a mission so it doesn't just feel like I killed some bots on an offline server in counter strike. [/b] And maybe even something like multiplayer...Who knows. Won't ever happen and is really hard to implement but still.... [/spoiler]

Neat Indie Game for a good price! Since its made by one dude himself, its awesome. If you like Oldschoold CoD and BF1942 you might give it a try. Dont expect high spec gfx but the gameplay is fun. Many levels are included as well, you can play the DDay on all Fronts as Soldier landing on it or as Paratrooper. Great effort, well worth the few bucks!

Bad Voiceovers, bad graphics, bad AI, no reaction the grenads, grenads have impact, unfortunately not simple but bad

I originally played Easy Red 2 but I decided to try out the first part. Even though it is a bit laggy, I like it because it is kind of fun!

Es ist leider ein sehr schlechtes Spiel, man kann nicht mal die Community Maps spielen. Ich finde Grafik bei spielen jetzt nicht so wichtig, aber das Spiel hat einen sehr hässlichen Stil. Das Wasser ist so hässlich, selbst Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 aus 2007 hat das besser hingekriegt, und dort war das Wasser schon damals hässlich. Dazu kommt noch eine unglaublich dumme KI, wenn man das überhaupt KI nennen kann. Die Feinde sammeln sich einfach alle auf einem Haufen, gehen nicht in Deckung und warten auf den Tod. Das merkt man vorallem, wenn man mit einem Scharfschützengewehr spielt. Über die KI der Panzerfahrer wollen wir erst gar nicht reden. Also ich kann euch das Spiel auf keinen Fall weiterempfehlen. Die 3,99€ könnt ihr auch verbrennen. Dann habt ihr wenigstens etwas davon, nähmlich Wärme und Licht oder ihr könnt auch das Geld aus dem Fenster schmeißen, dann freut sich vielleicht ein Obdachloser.

Also easy red hat nicht die beste Grafik oder das beste gameplay aber es macht irgendwie spaß es hat zwar ein par maken ( KI, Steuerung) aber das ist nicht weiter schlimm es behindert für mich nicht den Spielfluss zu-mindestens nicht bei zweimaligem durch spielen. Also ich nur sagen kann für 2 Euro ist das spiel sehr gut aber das spiel kann noch besser werden. Ich kann nur eins sagen jeder der WW2 spiele mag, sollte dieses spiel besitzen . Ich meines ernst KAUFT Euch den schei*.

Das Spiel ist gnadenlos verbuggt und die KI ist dumm wie Brot. Es gibt kein flüssiges Gameplay, da man ständig an winzigen Gegenständen hängen bleibt. Die Gegner spawnen zum Teil direkt neben oder hinter dem Spieler. Nach dem Tod kann es passieren das man mitten im Ozean respawnt. Das Gunplay fühlt sich fürchterlich an. Meiner Meinung nach gibt es keinen Grund diesen Müll zu spielen.

[h1]D-Day[/h1] Easy Red ist ein ziemlich guter WWII Shooter, der vielleicht nicht durch Grafik oder Intelligenz der KI-Gegner glänzt, jedoch durch seine vielen Levels mit einer menge an Fahrzeugen und den verschiedenen Soldaten-Klassen mit ihren vielen Waffen. Easy Red kann also vielleicht nicht mit großen Titeln mithalten, ist aber durchaus auch eine Spielenswerte Alternative.

Potential existiert durchaus. Inzwischen kann man halbwegs präzise zielen und nicht jeder Schuss laggt. Kritikpunkte: -ich bekomme nicht mehr als 20FPS, egal ob auf Max oder Min Grafik -Waffen mit schlechtem Sound -verbuggte Animationen, aufgefallen vorallen bei Karabinern -Dumme KI, egal ob Alliierte oder Achse -Wasser was durch Landungsboote fließt -Sehr sehr fummelige Menüs um Munition zu verschieben (vorallen sehr laggy) -Allgemein die Sache dass man jedes Stück Munition, für eine neue Waffe verschieben muss Positives: -Schon jetzt sind Geschütze etc. nutzbar und betretbar. Macht Spaß -Zerstörbare Deckungen -Voiceacting was ok ist -recht "realistische" Herangehensweise, also Tod nach wenigen Schüssen -schon jetzt recht große Auswahl an Waffen -Mapeditor (aber sehR fummelig) Zusammenfassung: Vorallen fummelige Menüs sind nervig und die schlechte KI machen Spielspaß leider zunichte.
