It is not worthy of holding the title of "Metal Gear" that is for sure, don't go into it expecting anything other than a medioker spin off like acid, with a loosely connected story to the main franchise that is a bit "outlandish" . But if you go into it, for a survival, mele focused (ranged is an option but ammo is hard to craft) tower defence game with some base building and crew management ... then it is actually a ...good game... after all. It definetly was not a good game for its time, but compared to nowadays slopp ? it holds up pretty well to that and even outshines it. (but a good hint, take your time and prepare defences and passive recources, DON'T go into the second mother base dig unless you are absolutely setteled, stocked up and ready for it, its aftermath might throw you off if you ain't ready for it (i gave the game a second chance and am in my second playthrough of the story right now and oh god i did everything wrong rushing and not exploring enough in my first playthrough, if you give it time, it becomes easily manageable) I can't believe i'd be saying this as a metal gear fan, but, i'd recomend, especially if you liked peace walkers ai pods.
