Beautiful graphics and lighting, smooth animations, great playability. It sure is heavily inspired by Metroid, but it's done right. Great game.

A good jump 'n' run, if you don't mind some characteristics. Visually it is more about quality than quantity. The sectors of the world look all fairly alike. There are not tons of different enemies, but a solid pool with some variations - not that much. A bit in colour and visual 'mutations'. Buildings also don't change much. Basically what you see in the trailer is what the game offers. Nice NPC- and character-animations. High-Res models/textures in a (what I would call) steril rubber-toy-style with beautiful lighting. Visual-FX are mild/few. No fast flashing attacks or explosions. I prefer it that way as it's less stressing. The music is also rather calm or relaxed most of the time, but well done. Just as the whole pace of the game is. I guess that's why some people found it to be boring. But as the game-description reads, the emphasize lies on exploration. And by that it means "exploring a maze of platforms". Not an ever-changing environment. Find ways over obstacles, unlock shortcuts. The usual stuff, nothing too exciting, but enough to keep me busy. NPC- and boss-fights aren't that hard. So if you are a an experienced player with fast reflexes trying to find a challenge, then you will be most likely disappointed. I myself don't need these challenges anymore. I beat most bosses in 2-3 tries and moved on. Was fine for me. The same goes for the gamelength. Took me about 20 hours to finish the game 100% without rushing myself and the usually self-confusion going on. Running in circles, getting distracted by NPCs and loot, doing stupid mistakes - these kind of things. There are achievements for finishing the game in 10 or even 6 hours though. So you can finish it much faster. The game-world is somewhat open and not directing you straight to your next stepping stone. So you sometimes might end up in places where you don't get any further (easily), making you run back through already explored sectors trying to unlock stuff with you new abilities you didn't have before. For me that's part of the exploration. Others might be slightly annoyed by that. Technically I didn't find any flaws. Good controls, no bugs or crashes. The story is minimal and not very original. I don't care much about them anyway. Or - even more - prefer to have no story at all than some overdramatic sludge of drama, intrigues and cliches of good and bad guys. So it was ok for me. Last but not least i got the game for ~10€, which is a more than fair price for a well done, solid game that doesnt rush things and does everything it wants to be without any flaws, but also without many bells and whistles. I don't regret my purchase. Thanks to the developers.
