There are two great parts about this game. One, the environment simulates a dynamic nature -- invasions from enemies and crusades against enemies are a common occurrence. Participate if you want, quest/dungeon/PvP if you don't.
Secondly, the Soul System. Customization options are endless, as each toon has 3 talent trees, and you can reset and swap out from a cast of 8 options total. Rinse and repeat for each of the 4 archetypes (mage, warrior, rogue, and cleric). To some degree, every archetype can do every role (dps, healing, support, tanking). Plus you can purchase additional roles for your toon to play.
