It has been years since I purchased, and years since I played...yet...I cannot bring myself to reinstall and play again.
The game bored me upon initial attempt, and I do not wish to retry.

New to Rouge-Lite playing and this is a great introduction. Super tutorial and a nice tough-in-cheek play tone make this a winner.

This game is a lot of fun... Until it crashes suddenly for no discernible reason without any error message, and despite claiming to autosave, actually doesn't. Plus, even without permadeath mode on, you can't make manual saves (you can sort of, but it gets corrupted for no reason anyway). Unplayable, sadly. Can't even get past floor 3 without a sudden CTD.
EDIT: I tried playing this horribly programmed game again. Got pretty far. Lost all my progress despite making saves and then backing up the saves because they were corrupted anyway. Should have known... This would be an actually good game if the programmers weren't complete hacks.
EDIT EDIT: Decided to make a program to help with the issue. It's available here, if anyone decides to use it. It's open-source and has quite a bit of information on how it works. It creates rolling backups, so when the game inevitably crashes, you have multiple recovery points.

6/10 A good introduction to the roguelike genre, the build a class system is fun and unique. Biggest downside is a lack of proper UI scaling, so playing on a 4K monitor was an eyesore.

This game is a blast! The loop is really fun, you explore, loot, and find a lore that's well done and full of humor. It's pace is controlled by you, and you can change the difficulty if it's too easy/hard, and there's a hardcore mode if you're feeling like you need even more difficulty. Definitely worth buying at full price, don't wait for a sale.

There are lots of ways to die in this. There are also some pretty solid skill trees you can go down. Magic is nicely powerful too. Basically, it's a pretty decent roguelike.

A bit buggy and it crashes, but was an essential part of my gaming upbringing and a fire roguelike.
