The game is pretty short, except you are going to complete it on 100% by blowing thousands of flowers like me, but I wouldn't have given a bad review if it weren't for one thing. The technical component that pissed me off at the beginning of the game. The game resolution was terrible, everything was very slow, but for a 2009 game I have a fairly powerful computer. Here's a fix that helped me (thanks to V3NOM for it): 1. Open the Nvidia Control Panel 2. Manage 3d Settings 3. Select the "Program Settings" tab 4. Press Add button 5. Search the exe file of the game 6. From the dropdown select: High performance Nvidia processor. After this everything was normal. Now for some other minuses. The first minus is steering. When your "wind" is not very thick, it's not very visible and difficult to control, and sometimes the game puts up invisible walls which limits your flying. Maybe on controller this game feels better, I dont know. Secondly, it's about the saves. If you leave in the middle of the level, it wont save, you need to restart that level again. That was a pain when I played the game with blackouts or tried to collect achievements. The graphics minuses I think will be a mockery to a 15 years old game, but still, for some reason devs added this game on steam on its 10th birthday. The game is designed for atmosphere, and unfortunately it doesn't cope with it. the grass is as plastic as possible, both externally and physically. I dont know how to end this review, I liked Sky from this dev, gonna try Journey which seems very similar.

This game is a breath of fresh air. Originally a PlayStation exclusive, it is now available to the masses and its just a great, relaxing vibe of a game. Best played on a large screen to really immerse yourself in the atmosphere. This game can appeal to anyone, young or old, and is perfectly fine on a keyboard or controller. You won't regret your purchase and will improve your mental health while you're at it!

Great Atmospheric, immersive, and relaxing experience. It put me in a meditative state. At less than 2 hours it's something I'll want to re-experience again!

Flowers, Motion sickness, funky controls, and buggy unless you edit settings in Nvidia Control Panel.

A fun, almost meditative experience. The atmosphere is great, and there were just enough surprises to keep me going with the flow on this journey to spread flowers about.

I have very fond memories of this game on playstation. Very relaxing. Unfortunately this port is not all it's cracked up to be. Missing audio queues, Controls feel mushy, Overall, an inferior product to the original. As such, I can't recommend its purchase.

The game is incredibly accessible to people of all playstyles. If you want to blitz through the game at mach-speed, that's viable. If you want to take your time collecting all of the petals, that's viable. If you just want to just follow the main path the game gives you, that's also viable, not every petal needs to be collect. The music and visuals are very stunning for what the game is going for. However, in my opinion, I find journey to be better in those departments. The narrative experience was also something that really touched me. I understood the game was aiming to be about environmentalism compared industrialism, but I'm glad the game didn't just take the "Industrialization bad, Nature good" route. In some instances the petals are working together with technology like powercords and windmills, and it's only when the world starts becoming void of energy, color, and joy when industrialism becomes a problem. But with that being said, the pacing of the game and the controls are a complaint for me. There are plenty of cutscenes of unnecessary slowdowns that tend to be repetitive. And the controls were a bit clunky but it didn't take me that long to get used to them. Aside from that, this is a very nice game for those who'd like to spend an hour relaxing. P.S. Play Journey.

I've played Flower and Journey both years ago on my PlayStation. They both are special in their own way. Journey is just to have a journey with another companion and Flower is just very relaxing and almost like a therapy session to just shut off from real life. So if you want to go on a journey play Journey. If you want to relax play Flower and just go with the flow

I've never owned a Playstation, and my attempt at playing the PC version of this classic (from 2009!) a couple of years ago left me unimpressed. Maybe I was in the wrong kind of mood, more likely the old non-gaming laptop I was using back then ruined some of the fun. Currently on a quest for spring-themed games, I gave it another try and was pleasantly surprised. I really liked the first few chapters. They were beautiful (although the first one was a bit Windows XP desktop), relaxing, with pleasant music and satisfying sound effects. I imagine it would have been more fun if there was a speed between almost idling and so fast I had trouble hitting the flowers, but oh well. We started getting wind power plants, fair enough. It got dark, still interesting and a bit nice to spread lights. Then there was one dark and dramatic chapter with lightning, screen shake, uncomfortable sound effects, and only the latter could be turned off. Not what I thought I bargained for. Obviously it got brighter again, but in a bland urban space. The ending was a bit meh too imo, though achievements indicate there might be something more. I only got one achievement by "accident" and have no idea what some of them are about. The port has been criticised a lot (it's what caused most of the negative review). It seemed to work ok for me, even on Linux with Proton, but as mentioned I don't have the original experience to compare it with. All that talk about how "moving" this game is though, that it "stir[s] the soul" and is "an incredibly personal and emotional experience"? I honestly don't even know what it is that should have made me so emotional. With all the peaceful landscape experiences you can get in games nowadays, this one seems a bit overrated by today's standards. Or maybe I just don't get it. Recommended mostly for the first chapters, and I guess as a piece of video game history that inspired other relaxing games. * * * If you like chill and story-driven games, check out my curator Peaceful Adventures and Stories. Beautiful game and concept but SO BAD for motion sickness due to the terrible controls. It took me days to combat the motion sickness in order to finish the game but now my curiosity is satisfied I likely won't replay ever. Developers need to make controls less clunky and allow options to adjust mouse sensitivity and camera angles better.
