I haven't finished it yet, but for a 12 year old game, I must say i'm THOROUGHLY impressed with the graphics, my only complaint is that the mouse quick-time actions seem dodgy and unresponsive.

Pros: The acting was great! Elliot Page is a global treasure! I will say this was a fun ride, and probably still worth the play through despite the cons below. Cons: The quick time events controls were very poorly thought out. There are lots of times when the white action dot will be on the far right side of the screen but you need to press down or up to activate it. Or there are action sequences that don't follow the rules. For example they tell you to continue the motion of Jodie in QTEs there is an action scene where Jodi is jumping up to then kick someone left but the motion she is currently in is up so you should press up based on the stated instructions but the game wants you to input left so I recommend playing in the easier mode because it actually shows you the input it wants.
The game tries way too hard to force you into a romance with an objectively terrible partner Ryan. He is a complete jerk that uses you and then when you call him on his crap he still confess his love for you before ever even apologizing and then even if you've rejected him at every turn he still forces a kiss on you
You'll need to have your plot hole blinders on super well for this game. Maybe even get a plot hole blind fold. I thought this was supposed be written by someone that knows how to write narratives but I find that claim dubious. It's like a roller coaster, fun to ride but it doesn't get you anywhere productive in a way that makes sense.
Aidens powers are laughably inconsistent. In one scene he heals a gunshot wound completely and in the next can't fix a sprained ankle. At one point he blocks multiple surprise gunshots after preventing you from taking any harm in a fiery crash but literally not 10 minutes later can't block a single bullet that is clearly coming. At one point Aiden is able to operate as normal while Jodie is sleeping and unconscious but later randomly all of a sudden Jodie's mental state now affects how powerful Aiden is.
Such an amazing story game. Incredibly raw and emotional. Although fiction, it still incorporates many real life situations that happen. This game really connects the player to Jodie and tunes into her complicated feelings and things throughout her life. One of my favorite games of all time for sure.

I’m enjoying the mechanics and the story of the game, but the negative score is for the abhorrent controls, does not matter if you play on keyboard mouse, or controller the prompts and the frustration felt when you miss time a movement is completely game breaking. I have been playing games for decades and have only come across controls this bad on a few occasions, I can honestly say these are the worst controls in any game I can remember. You get people saying your doing it wrong or it’s easy I found no problem with it, then bully for you but for older gamers who don’t have the reflexes of a cat it’s difficult, it’s a shame as well because the premise of the game I am enjoying.

The only things I didn't like about this game were that I can only play it for the first time once and that my fingers hurt from desperately button-mashing to optimize running from the authorities. Incredible story, unique movement, wonderful character development, and a strong variety of poignant, funny, and intense narratives that cultivated something very stand-out in the choices matter genre. 9.5/10 Can't recommend more.

When i first played it, it wasn't like i expected. The controls took a minute to get used to. Overall, this game has became one of my fav games. I love the realism and the plot. I like how you are able to make different choices with how you want your gameplay to be like. I recommend this game to other players. After playing tlou part 1, I wanted to try new games that had a plot and had realism. This game has just that, I truly love this game. Also liked how they used actors for the characters in this game.

I highly recommend Beyond: Two Souls! The main thing that keeps you on the hook is the story, obviously, and the connection between the entity and Jodie. To know the rest, you'll have to play the game, but it's full of mystery, romance, betrayal, and an emotional rollercoaster. You'll cry, get angry, and feel all sorts of emotions throughout the journey. For me, it's a solid 10/10 for the story and the experience. That said, the controls are a bit of a downside. I'd prefer a full third-person perspective rather than the fixed camera or whatever type of control setup this game has. But other than that, it’s an incredible ride! 4.2/5 stars.

1. The controls are the worst than in any game I've played. 2. The game starts from beginning every time instead from beginning where I left. 3. The game designers must have been gamer haters. It could have been a beautiful game but the gameplay design (controls, saving) totally makes it unplayable. I've never ever cursed so much playing a game.

Horrible controls (with controller, with keyboard it's unplayable). Why invent a new really bad way of controlling a 3rd person game? The beginning is also slow and uninteresting, making it not worth fight through the horrible controls...

This isn’t a game to finish in one go, but it’s definitely worth your time. The game is structured as a collection of episodes, with two ways to play — in the original release order or chronologically. For newcomers, I suggest chronological order. It’s recommended by most players on the Internet, and I wish I had known that before starting. I went with the original order, and while it was a fun experience, constant jumps between timelines were sometimes disrupting the flow for me. As for the story itself, I initially thought of it as "Stranger Things in an alternate reality", though the similarities are really superficial. The premise is entirely different, and the characters are original. That said, if you enjoy Stranger Things, you’ll likely find something to appreciate here. The ending left many questions unanswered, but I think the game is better tied together than Detroit, for example. It feels like there should be a sequel, but as far as I know, none is planned.
