Solid story. I wish the campaign were a little longer because I really enjoyed exploring Raccoon City as Jill and Carlos.

get it on sale. i beat it in like 5~6 hrs. like everyone else says. its basically a DLC, not full game.
It is still fun. RE3 gives you a ton of ammo and weapons right off the bat, so its more action oriented.
Still worth a play thru

This is the first resident that I passed at 100%, mostly laziness did not allow me to pass other games in the same way, but purely for myself who played or rather watched as the older brother loved this part made me pass this remake at 100%.
P.S I hate looking for shitty documents...

I have not played the original, but this game seems to lack the magic with which OG players speak of the original. The story felt thin and lost behind the action. Jill's motivations are laid out clearly in the opening scene and yet she never quite seems to follow through. Where her motive is supposed to be bringing down Umbrella - which you'd expect would include a lot of information gathering like Leon in the RE2 remake - what you actually end up doing is basically surviving. I know, it is a survival horror, however, RE2 and RE7 both kept that survival aspect without once losing sight of the narrative. In that way, this RE3 remake feels very similar to RE8 Village to me. You're doing stuff, you're moving forward, you know there's a purpose and yet... somehow you just don't feel the weight of that purpose or narrative as you progress through the story.
If you played the RE2 remake first then you may have noticed the gaping continuity errors. Events for Jill don't align with events for Leon and Claire the way they should. At some points in the story it seems Jill was there first, however, at others it seems Claire and Leon were ahead of Jill. Taking into account the ending for RE2 and RE3 it just doesn't make sense for Jill's story to be happening before Leon and Claire's. I know someone may say the events happen at the same time, however, when you play the game you realise that simply isn't what its cutscenes and narrative imply. The continuity is messy, infuriatingly so when it could have been easily fixed by swapping some of the RE2 narratives with RE3 and vice versa. That may have upset some of the OG players, but it would have made for a more cohesive and immersive story in both games.
Other than Carlos - dreamboat that he is - and Nikolai I found this game boring. I just wasn't immersed in the story and the gameplay felt repetitive. There weren't enough puzzles to solve and those you did have felt lacklustre and unnecessary. I won't be playing this game again, and I honestly can't recommend it; even as someone who never played the original.

Utter abysmal dog shit. You will be stun locked many many times, mainly by nemesis in each of his fights. The only fight that was decent was the flame thrower fight and even that was boring instead of being bad. The final fight drags on longer than it should. Easily the worst resident evil game by a long shot. The dodge mechanic is easily the worst part of the game. It doesn't work instantly and it only works 20% of the time but that's another issue, this game is built around that dodge mechanic so many things aren't fun to deal with. The worst offender is Carlos with his awful punch that works only 5% of the time and when he has to deal with hunters who can instantly kill you very easily it is horrible to see him punch point blank and miss somehow. Its gun play feels worse than RE2 remake and the game just feels cluttered. It is not worth even thinking about getting this game and playing the original where this game is done justice is the better option. Final addition is this game is short less than 6 hours if you play at even a normal pace. Horrible game!

The whole process of this game is only a few hours, less than five hours? It's still 198 RMB. Are you crazy about money?-这个游戏整个过程才几个小时,5个小时都不到?,还卖198块钱人民币,想钱想疯了吧?

Amazing game, quite short in comparison to other resident evil games tho. the areas are amazing and nemesis is insane. The story makes the most sense when you play RE2 aswell.

RE3 was a really fun game, and I don't mind if changed some scenes from the original, in addition, the dodging maneuver mechanic is so satisfying when you pull it off. Really great game, but I really wished if they kept it one - to - one with original which will be awesome.

I get why long-time fans of the series weren’t too happy with this version. But if you’re new to the RE universe like me, it’s actually pretty good. Later on, give the classic '99 version a shot. That’s what I did, and it made me appreciate both versions even more. Great game, and a lot of fun to speedrun.
