A great 'set&forget' kind of tool. Works great with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, even on my old crappy webcam (which I literally cannot remember, I've always just had it, as far as I can tell). I only need to take care to properly illuminate my face, although I would imagine this is less of a issue with modern webcams which have better low-light capabilities. This little tool is solid and unpretentious. It has all the settings I could want, without being complicated to use. Once set up, it literally takes 3 seconds to start the tool before a gaming session and even less to stop it again. 10/10 would recommend.
Edit: Yes free alternatives are available, but I personally could not find any that were easy to use and reliable as this bit of software.

I play IL2 Cliffs over Dover Blitz and considered to get a head tracking system to ease my flight. No need for any expensive gears as ViewTracker works perfectly. My flight has drastically improved with the help of the ViewTracker.

There are free alternatives like FreeTrackNoIR and OpenTrack. You can try those. However, after using them for days I got tired of all the crashes and inconsistencies. So I decided to give ViewTrack a try. It is paid but it is stable, and it comes with many options already tuned (for example, in the free softwares you have many inverted axes and you have to look for them while in ViewTrack all the axis are correct). Also, no crashes! Viewtrack has some difficulty detecting when I approach my face to the webcam, FreeTrackNoIR was much better at this point. Everything else ViewTracker is much better. So yeah, cheap an reliable.

I was looking for a good piece of software to use with Euro and American Truck Simulator, because looking left and right at junctions and also looking at scenery was a pain with just a wheel. There are a few other software/hardware out there and very expensive. I decided, before trying these other head tracking hardware/software, I would try out ViewTracker with a webcam.
I bought a Logitech C270 for c.£30. Tried the ViewTracker demo and it is indeed plug-n-play. The webcam was recognised straightaway and once in ETS2 and ATS worked (with ViewTracker started beforehand) without me needing to do anything.
It did need some tweaking however using the software that comes with it to get it just right for me, but after using the demo for a few days I was happy with it. So I bought it.
Highly recommend!

This software "was" useful until dev stopped updating this product.
For now, AITrack + OpenTrack combination is track more precisely and its completely free to use on github.
Do not purchase this unless you just want to throw your money away.

this is a carbon copy of Opentrack, you may as well buy that. it isn't the most stable tracking, and, to be honest I regret buying it. for free you can get a software that operated and looks the exact same way.

I don't care what any of the negs say. This worked out of the box, and was at a point I could easily fiddle with it to work perfect. For that, dude gets my 15 bucks. For making me feel like I was in the middle of the Battle of Britain fighting it out with BF 109s in flames around me? For that, my brother, if you are ever in Eugene, I dj at a strip club. I am gonna get you so many lap dances bro you going to walk out of that place sticky and confused.

Viewtracker is 1/10 less expensive that Trackir 5 and will work with DCS quite adequately but I found that Trackir 5 is far easier to set up is seemss to be a little more stable. One must decide if the extra cost is worth the slight improvement of function.

This hasn't been updated for a long time, on top of this it appears to be a clone of the free 'Opentrack', which is actively still developed and now has face tracking capabilities which appear to be just as good, if not better. Save your money and get Opentrack or AItrack
