I love this game, but the combat system is its biggest issue. I still recommend it because it has a strong story, unique side missions, and fun mini-games—just like you'd expect from any Yakuza title. When I played Yakuza 0 and Kiwami, the combat felt really fun. But in the early phases of this game, it was honestly frustrating. Dodging is pretty hard at first because you have to unlock that ability later on. The combat that you’d expect to be fun and fluid ends up feeling clunky and even a bit absurd. When I faced the first boss, I had to rely on pure hit-and-run tactics (literally just hit and run), and the fight looked ridiculous. Overall, I enjoyed the story, but it took a long time for me to adapt to the new combat system—probably not until halfway through the game. 7/10

i feel like this is where the series takes its serious turn. it doesnt have much goofy aspects in it and the series is really detailed. sayama is the best character in this one

Good game. As with a lot of games, the difficulty curve is reversed, since by the late game you have so many stats and abilities that combat becomes easier than at the start. The story was good enough, and it made me want to know where it would go next. Here's hoping the next games will continue to deliver.

What a fun game. The plot and sub-stories really carry majority of this but the new dragon engine implementation really makes this game come alive. Kamurocho and Sotenbori look phenomenal. It is super wacky but emotional when it needs to be. You can feel how much the developers loved making this game. There are definitely some faults like the combat is very repetitive and some of the minigames are just slight varations.

This is the first game i ever play in this series and it doesn't disappoint me the fight mechanic the combo the sidequest if you like the series this is the game you should play

I Beat this many times on the ps4 and even played the japanese version before it came out. its not crazy or anything but its a lot of fun. i love to beat up dudes and throw them around like a ragdoll. i also like the way the city looks. i got it on pc to see if japan looked any greater and it does. highly reccomend this game to anyone looking for a soild beat em adventure experience.

I would never have thought of seeing kiryu throw that shit back against his foes until I used the funny mod from nexusmods Game is still peak with/without the mod Give the game a try

Game has some serious issues with the physics, but the story and presentation is pretty good.

Combat is a bit slow at the beginning but it gets a lot better when you buy more skills. Most things in this game are a lot better than previous game's except the story. Main story writing is a bit weak in my opinion but overall not too bad. And Majima's Saga makes me a bit sad.
