Lots of fun if you enjoy old school games. Only complaint is that I wish it was longer.

Technically competent, but there's not much of a game here.

Here are my thoughts on this game - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcBflfoMufc
The game was fun, just keep in mind that you can't move and attack at all. Play with that in mind and it can be a fun time. way too short though. I would buy it if you can get it o sale for $1 or less because I beat this in under an hour, and I am not fast at beating games.

This game sucks, You cannot slash midair or while moving which makes the game unplayable. and you have to kill EVERY enemy before entering the next level, which is tedious. The music sucks. In general I cannot think of anything good to say about this game. It is named so similar to the Castlevania that I thought it was a half decent platformer, and I got crap. Thank goodness I got a refund.
In all, I rate this a 1.8/10.

I sympathize somewhat with some of the negative reviews here but honestly, I think their being a bit dramatic. The games costs €2.39 and is actually a good little game. Not being able to use your sword mid air or while running seemed stupid to me at first then I grew to like it. It makes it more challenging, which is the point. It's a CastleVania clone and it's supposed to be difficult. All in all, I found the game to be quite easy in fairness but enjoyed it a lot.
Here's a video of me playing the first couple of levels if you want to check it out.

Cool art, old school arcade game play, totally shit controls. It is as if they went out of their way to make terrible controls. I got it for less than a dollar, I'm keeping it for frustration purposes. For less than a dollar, all my other games seem that much better by comparison.

The game looks great but the play is horrible. The controls are wretched, with slop on landings and off-by-a-pixel jump height keeping you from reaching what look like accessible platforms. The weapon can only be used while stationary, so landing and slicing an enemy won't happen. You will have to give them space so you can land, wait the second or so for the slop in the movement to stop, then execute the attack with enough time to allow the animation to play out so the enemy can walk into the point. This really puts the FU in fun.
The objective of every stage is to kill all the enemies on the map and collect their souls before you can move to the next map and repeat the process. There are checkpoints, but every (frequent) death will reset the counter until you find one which is just a random, unmarked section of the map you'll cross. You appear to have infinite lives, so getting all the enemies is just a matter having equally infinite patience. As I do not find this compelling gameplay, I clearly do not.
Neither Ghouls 'Chosts or Castlevania that this game claims to be based on required you to 100% clear every stage. The challenge was reaching the end. This game isn't much on challenge, but it's high on tediousness.
There's an "Options" menu that has no actual options. Instead, it shows you a how-to-play screen that abbreviates the "Tutorial" seen when you start a "New Game." There are no option to disable that hideous fish-eye lens that's supposed to evoke some cathode ray TV kitsch. Scanlines should also be optional, but again: no options at all.
I will say that with a little more polish, this could be a fun game. Fix the control slop, allow the weapon to be used from motion, give us some basic options. If you're going to stick with a kill-everything-on-the-map approach, at least give us a "x of y" so we know how many remain. But frankly, the game should have a scoring system that incentivizes collection all souls without actually requiring any to progress.

I was hoping that this game would be a decent Castlevania rip-off, but was pretty disappointed with what I got. The worst problems I found were:
- The game's "old TV" asthetic is apparently a permanent fixture, since I couldn't find any way to turn it off. If you don't mind it, then this won't be a problem for you, but it certainly was for me.
- The gameplay itself is horribly flawed in that, apparently, you cannot attack while moving. This is an unbelievably broken play mechanic, making the game practically unplayable. I tested the game using first by using the keyboard controls and then an Xbox Elite controller, but the result was the same.
Given the control problem alone, I cannot recommend this game to anyone. Perhaps the developers will patch this flaw, but until such time, save your money.

The art style is really something, a nice nod to the old Castlevania series with something new and personal.
However the game is not what you can expect: it's an old school arcade, with wide single room-levels full of enemies and you mus simply kill everyone to go to the next level, similar in concept to what Bubble bobble or Snow Bros are.
And the game in these terms is pretty fun, nut it lacks a lot: you can finish it in about half an hour, there are only few levels...
There is also an "old crt view" filter that can't be disabled, it didn't bother me but some people can find it quite annoying, and you have to keep it.
But the worst thing I found among all are the controls. The character moves quite smoothly, but there is a really long delay from when you press the attack button and when the attack starts. It gets even worse: you can't attack while moving or jumping, you have to be still (or crouched) to attack. I don't know why the developer choose these controls but it's really frustrating.
The price is low, but I feel it's still overpriced at the moment.
