Wonderful Ace Combat like arcade-y flight sim. Fights are fun, fast paced, and just complicated enough to make them not get boring.
The aircraft selection is a bit sparse, especially coming from AC7 with all of the DLC, but there's enough to enjoy.
The storyline is okay, but nothing special. That being said it is on par with the stories from any of the Ace Combat game.

I love it! That is what i can say! You start playing easy, then normal, then hard and last mercenary. And every time you are having the fight of your life and having fun. It gets annoying when you get shot down and you start the mission from the beginning, but to avoid that DO NOT GET SHOT DOWN.

Absolutely get this game if you can. I've finished the campaign 3 times already and will probably go for a fourth. Nothing compares to wiping out a screen full of targets with one button

The build up to mission 11 is worth it buying the game alone, and if you have the dlc and then play the first mission of the dlc immediately afterwards, its even better. The dlc is great too, lightning struck twice, make sure to fly a two seater as well. This game didn't hook me with the story as well as AC7 did but they did a damn good job at doing something similar with a smaller team and less resources.

Project Wingman is a fun game. I highly recommend it over something lke Ace Combat 7. It's both cheaper and it's in my opinion more fun and creative. That and the OST for both the main game and frontline 59 kicks ASS.

Project Wingman is a 10/10 indie game. The perfect arcade fighter jet game for anyone, with a unique world and decent story.

Pure Arcade fun. Live out your top gun inspired, fighter jock fantasies
10/10 Sound track with a song fitting for each mission
World and Setting - Takes itself seriously despite how insane the story is, and makes it work. The voice actors sell the characters despite the limited time you get with them.
The Bad
None except its too short. Leaves you wanting more, luckily there are many post-game modifiers to augment multiple play throughs and a rogue-like extra mode.
True embodiment of "Planes rad, war bad"

Project Wingman blew me away—it's pure, heart-pounding aerial action from start to finish. Each mission had me on the edge of my seat, feeling like an ace pilot in an intense dogfight. And that soundtrack? Absolutely phenomenal! It amps up every moment and makes the experience unforgettable. If you're into high-energy, arcade-style flight games, you simply can't miss this. Honestly, I couldn't put it down!

Great take on the Ace Combat formula. Clearly made with love. I've kept coming back to it throughout the years as it's got some of the best gameplay for a arcade flight game in the modern era. The story is kind of like fan fiction with loads of dialog that's difficult to follow, but if you sift through the attempted character development, you can grok the basics of each mission briefing. Regardless, for a 3-4 person dev team, you can tell they really put their heart into it and you gotta respect that.
TLDR: The flying, combat and gameplay is outstanding. Tech progression is good enough. The graphics are excellent. The music is banging -- especially the DLC tracks. 10/10 as far as arcade flight combat games go.
