Fantastic Ace-Combat-like and one of the most impressive indie games ever made (It's unreal how polished the experience is having been made by only three guys). While graphical fidelity is lacking when compared to contemporary AAAs, the UI, lighting, and overall composition/attention to detail makes for quite the visual treat. Gameplay is what you'd expect with interesting adversaries from the air, the land, and the sea alongside a motley arsenal of planes and fun weapons to employ. Quality of VA work ranges (being composed of volunteers) but is overall quite good. All the aforementioned comes together to solidify the military pastiche making for a great campaign experience.

Extremely fun arcade dog fighting game. This game feels pretty much like an ace combat game (as it was intended to I believe), so I highly recommend this for anyone who is an ace combat fan. The game definitely leans a bit more into absurdity in the plot, but it honestly works to the game's insane tone. If you can accept the absurdity of the plot sometimes, the main campaign is legitimately great. The flying is great and it is pretty much what you'd expect from an arcade dogfighting game. Overall, big recommend for anyone who likes arcade dogfighting games. (pick aoa limiter instead of flares if you wanna do crazy turns)

I've played through the main campaign 3 times on progressively harder difficulty. I've completed the DLC on hard. I've now as per just now completed the highest difficulty for the main campaign and had the pleasure and honor to fly some of the coolest aircraft in the game. I have not played many plane games, but I can definitely say that this game, also known as Orange Plane Game, is a grand and worthwhile experience from start to finish. (Except for Eminent Domain, that mission is a huge pain (affectionately))

I was looking for an Ace Combat type game and this nailed it. Like, it’s the same game engine and physics and everything. It’s also replayable in the conquest mode. If you like Ace Combat, this will scratch that itch.

Before the dlc update it ran amazing on deck now it runs like trash with maxed out gpu on medium settings. Sub 20 fps. The game is good however i wont recommend it for any steam deck users.

Project Wingman is great, the controlls are responsive, the music is full of Bangers and Mission 11 gives you everything you cloud ever want! Just don´t expect to much from the Conquest Mode.

Great game, top tier soundtrack, I'm not usually one for flight games due to their complex controls but Project Wingman was very easy to learn. My only minor gripe is that even after completing every mission (Both the main game and Frontline 59) on Mercenary Difficulty I never got any of the achievements for completing all of the missions. Also Prez best girl. Eye-Tee's a close second tho.
Combat of Aces
Fly at supersonic speed, shoot down bogies, protect transports and pull off crazy pirouettes. That's Project Wingman in a nutshell. If you like Ace Combat - you'll love this game. Wingman has same core mechanics, and approach to mission design, but puts some extra spins on that. It's a love letter to arcade-style combat flight sim genre, made by fans for the fans. P.S. shout out ot my boy Maxor for making a review on this game.
