Airranger Reviews

Airranger is a bow and arrow multiplayer game. Nothing in usual in the realm of conventional gaming, sure, but it makes for one of the best VR game with a headset donned. You can move around or fly to the sky, as well as use your unique weapons to defeat all your opponents in your own way. only the last one standing can win.

Its a good game, more like a collection of proven-good features. Such are battle royal match online type and the use of a bow. The graphics are simplistic, mostly low polygon, but that might be for the better in general, in terms of hardware requirements. There are currently 3 stages, a medival, a modern and a futuristic. There is also fog that limits the visibility, but not always. There are also 6 types of bows (the starting shortbow +5 scattered around the stage) each with its perks, and a few secondary single-use items. It also has Armor, a helmet for the headshots, and 4 melee weapons. pros: Physical movement (even by flying as an arrow) keeps motion sickness to a minimum. It is quite challenging to get a good aim without assists, and 1v1 fights often get to be airborne and intense. Its simple, yet I've been playing a lot and it still doesn't bore me. cons: Its been a year now, and it feels beta in character. There are also bugs here and there, unexpected crashes and the occasional breaks in graphics, ghosting and some more irritating problems. There no story, no single player oriented material at all. Personal verdict, a basic FUN game that absolutely worth its cost. I hope it keeps getting better.

Game is on fire. Absolutely fun pacing and genius details. Action and strategy balance is good and you can find your own style over time. I think it needs season gifts not loot boxes but it's still ok and not p2w.

This is a really good VR game with excellent movement mechanics and satisfying competitive gameplay. That said, check how many people are online before purchasing. https://steamcharts.com/search/?q=airranger At the time of writing this review, 5 people are in game worldwide. And regions are separate.

This is a budget game that took me by surprise. I suspect there may be a bit of excessive marketing for this game on the Vive and Vive_VR subreddits but the developers absolutely do deserve some sales here. There is quite a bit of content in this little bow shooter. First we have Battle Royale. It's pretty much what you expect (no jumping out of a plane though). There are ten players and last one to survive wins. The bots aren't very smart in this mode so you will likely win most matches by them just dying in the outer circle. Fortunately if you are lucky enough to find some human players this mode is a ton of fun and is the beginning mode. Then you have your typical deathmatch and team deathmatch modes which get unlocked. Deathmatch (War Game if I remember correctly what it's called here) is filled with bots and/or human players so you're never really stuck waiting for a match. It's a ton of fun and there are scattered around powerup arrows which really differentiate it from a lot of the bow shooters in VR. Team Deathmatch is a bit of a letdown as of now in my opinion because the bots will only counter the number of human players. So if you queue in by yourself it's 1v1. I feel like I need to talk about the movement mechanic in this game. A lot of people (including me) do not like games without full locomotion. This game does not have full locomotion but the mechanic is fun in this game. Basically think of it as being similar to In Death where you use your teleport arrows. You aim a teleport arrow and it brings you there, however unlike In Death - it's more like Sariento and brings you to the targeted spot by jumping you there (if you've played Arrowborn - another great Bow shooter - it's like the jump in that game). This makes it so you're constantly dashing around with the teleportation arrow because staying in one place will result in a quick death. Graphically I consider this game to be similar to Rec Room. I'd argue Rec Room has better effects and lighting but this game just is simple but charming visually. I really enjoy it. I will say the text in the game isn't quite proper English at times but that's because I believe the developer is Chinese (sorry if I'm mistaken). Really for the asking price this is a fun game and hopefully picks up a user community.

I found the physics model to be believable. The game play was demo like. The opening menu is impossible to navigate. I haven't played in over a year so we'll see if it's updated or not. Fun though!

This is such a good game. It just needs more players. Devs send free keys to big streamers to try it out once you've updated the player models.

RIP. If this game didn't die I would fully recommend. As is it is unplayable. Was a really fun game. Is a complete waste at this point. Needs to be removed from market. 10/10 if it still worked.

I usually don't take the time to leave reviews on games. But I thought I should in this case. First I'm a casual VR gamer. Just recently got into VR and really love it! This is the first multiplayer game I actually REALLY REALLY love playing, for either 10 mins or 3 hours. It has enough mix of strategy and action, which doesn't take long to get, that even the most advanced or casual VR gamer will enjoy. The moving around takes a little getting used to, but once you get it -- it's so fun! I find myself jumping from building to building and almost falling over in my own living room, hah!. At the end of the match I usually have sweat dripping off my head. To me, that is as fun as it gets! You must try this one!

On the surface Walk on Arrow is a battle royal with quicky but intuitive movement mechanics and incredibly fun bow play. However below that lies an absolute gold mine of possiblities and potential. As it is, this game is more then worth the price, its incredibly fun in its current state (if not a bit basic), but what i'm most excited for is whats to come. Once this game starts building a player base this is going to be an absolute must have for all VR owners. In short, I would highly recommend Walk on Arrow to anyone with a VR headset.

I haven't had this fun in VR in a long time! The gameplay is really good. I had so much fun with the battle royale game mode. The only thing the developers should improve is the english, because the language is really broken, which makes the game appear amateurish. EDIT: After playing a bit more, I discover the the game crashes *a lot*. In this state I cannot recommend it. I hope they fix it soon. EDIT AGAIN: Bug is fixed after a short time, so that's an extra reason to recommend this game!
