Oh yeah, cool shooter. Super music!

In principle, not a bad shooter, worth the money. Hope they add more weapons.

Interesting Shoot'em Up! I have not seen such games for a long time. I noticed that the developers have already released several updates in one day - this is good, so 10 out of 10 space ships! And I really liked the music!

It's a bit weird to form a critic about this game after being a Raptor (yes, the DOS game) veteran. So, if I have so say something positive, I would say that this is a good entry for players, who don't know Shoot'em Up games at all. [list] [*]This game is not difficult to play - M1 for primary fire, M2 for secondary fire, mouse for moving. [*]Like Raptor, it also has money collection and an inventory system. Not a lot to choose from, but more than nothing. [*]A small customization factor is in this game too, if you want to repaint your plane. [/list] The sounds, the music tracks and the graphics are pretty basic - they fit to the smallness of the game. That's also a message for the developers - this is good as a start, but if they want to make a new Shoot'em Up game, they should upgrade in many ways. And now, here's my critic, if you are familiar with Raptor: Call of the Shadows: [spoiler][list] [*]The game is beatable around 1 hour, and no difficulty options are in the game. You can imagine how long and how much hard the game is. [*]There is an endless mode, which is fine, if you want to buy everything, or if you want to earn the last killing achievement. Otherwise, it's pointless. [*]Because the terrains are built in an infinite way, they are pretty basic in complexity. But because of that, there are no destructable terrain elements. [*]The type of enemies are pretty limited, and they won't get tougher. So after you have the tri-splitter gun, you are fine. The perks are for the boss fights anyway. [*]The Doomguy-like face a bit weird. It's okay, if it's unharmed, and it's bloody, if has any damage. I don't understand the name indicator either. This is not a local co-op game, where you can race with your friends, how far you can go in the game, and you need a nametag, who is next. [*]If you die, you can keep the money, which you collected before. So there is no risk. [*]If you are experienced with the genre, the hard achievements are the death related ones. Yes, this game is that easy. [/list][/spoiler] This is fine, if you are new to the Shmup genre, or if it's discounted, and you have a very little money in the Steam Wallet, which you can't spend for anything else.

I love very simplistic games and this was one of them. The gameplay, design and soundtrack give the game that cool retro feeling. And the story is there just to give the gameplay some meaning, wich works just fine. All in all it was worth my time and investment. I really hope theres a sequel coming, because I ran trough the chapters really fast without much difficulty. So a bit more chapters and more difficult ones with maybe some new enemy types would be fun to see. Also it would perhaps be more logical to have a leaderboard for each blood rain map instead of just one.
