There are barely any iconic indie game characters. Shovel Knight, Shantae, Hat Kid and even Sans should've been in this game. The only indie characters I recognise are...
Juan (Gaucemelee)
Sheriff Lonestar (Awesomenauts)
The Beheaded (Dead Cells)
Rusty (Steamworld Dig)
The attacks barely have any impact, there is little to no voice acting (apart from the announcer) and, despite the empty slots on the character select screen, there are no unlockable characters.
Play Fraymakers or Rivals of Aether, instead of this "ultimate" indie fighter.

Well, what should I say first?
I was very surprised when I randomly found this game Steam, searching for something new. Trailer looked awesome, music is something what you actually expect from a game about heroes from indie games. Very enjoyable. Plus we can notice heroes from games that we like, or not, either way it catches the eye because it's familiar. It all makes you expect something like Smash Bros. Developers claims that this game is inspired by Skullgirls and Street Fighter. Sounds interesting, right?
But what if I tell you that this game is so raw that you can see the coding? (Ramsay joke intended)
Aside of jokes, it doesn't look anything like you see in the trailer. Nothing epic. You can't interact with stages in any way, 0 combos, except if i+o buttons counts as a combo, controls are unintuitive on keyboard, and while you can change it on keyboard (yes, I'm playing fightings with keyboard, haha), it still feels weird.
Menu is weird. You expect escape button to be the one that lets you go back, but menu says it's J button. But wanna know something funny? J doesn't work. It's still escape. It confuses. And you can't change that in the options. Also, the placing of interactive piece of menu is a bit off, I would've suggested to make it a bit upper on the screen.
Also a little note on the music in the intro. It doesn't sound the same way as in trailer. Too plain and it feels like devs edited it, trying to get rid of bass, and sometimes it start to be loud in the right ear. But in menu it sounds better. Plus, if you wait some time in the menu, intro start playing again, but when it ends, music in the menu won't play again.
For now this game looks like a skeleton with no flesh. And by that I mean, all it has is some poor tutorial, training mode which you can't escape (or at least I didn't figure out how), local fighting mode, tournament mode that doesn't let you choose which one do you want to complete (p and k buttons doesn't work), and challenge mode. Add at least some kind of story mode or ladder, and that will be good. Maybe those problems with controls are not a problem at all with a gamepad, but then why include keyboard support?
Also the problem I just found, when you open leaderboard a couple of times (which is "enter", which is also quite confusing, and the note about using space as a selecting button is so small you won't even notice it until you decide to find what's the problem), it feels like each time you open it and close, it disappear, but then placing another layer of the same leaderboard on the previous one when you open it again, relusting in this kind of oversaturated effect.
BUT
I will say, that the game has a good artstyle. I've seen people compare it with flash animation, but in my opinion it has some charm, so I won't complain about it.
For now, the game is leaving the feeling of an early access rather than a full product. But you don't see anything of that on the page, which means that this game IS a full product. At least it should be. But it's not. And it disappoints.
I do not recommend to buy this game until the developers fix the said problems and fill the game with content.

This game really should have launched in early access—it’s clear it needs more time to develop. I had high hopes, but even after a short play session, it became obvious that there’s a lot to improve.
In my first match, I found myself stuck in the stage after being hit, with no way to escape. The next game allowed for a bit more movement, but everything felt painfully slow. The hitboxes and character motion were confusing; I often didn’t know what was happening. Curious to see how the AI performed, I set up a match with the computers fighting each other. What I witnessed was unintentionally hilarious: one character just stood there, swinging aimlessly, while others teamed up against a single fighter, completely ignoring each other. At one point, a character got knocked down and stayed on the ground for the rest of the match, leaving the other unsure how to attack. It could have gone on forever! While it was amusing, I left feeling more frustrated than entertained.
This game has the potential to be a great competitive fighter, but not in its current state. It desperately needs improvement. The developers should consider either an early access model or a major update that overhauls the gameplay. Key areas to address include:
Game Speed: It feels too floaty; everything should move quicker.
Combat Mechanics: Attacks and combos need to be tighter and less choppy. Some moves seem nearly useless.
Hitboxes: The proximity needed to land hits is absurd—close combat shouldn't feel like a kiss!
I’m not a pro, and I know these changes will take significant effort. However, launching in this state was a questionable choice. There are better ways to engage with the community and gather feedback.
I’m not giving up on this game—I just can’t recommend it right now. I’ll happily revise my stance if they implement substantial changes to the gameplay. The art style isn’t bad, though I wish they had kept the original designs for each character; that would have been a nice touch. I hope this feedback helps others in their decision-making and encourages the devs to take action. Best of luck to the team—this idea has great potential but needs a lot of work!

Me feel sad.
I was looking forward to playing this game for so long, I though the delay was supposed to have some polish made.
but unfortunately, the game still quite buggy. and over roll it did not feel like a finished game at all
Punch:
the attack feedback was poor, feels like you are punching air
collider (Hit box) was not working properly; some attack looks like it should hit opponent but not.
Particle effect seems unrelated
Bounty feature:
The bounty part does not instruct well, I have no idea what my minion will do, (I don’t know all the Characters) and they just seem pretty annoying to appear in the middle of battle. It looks a bit mess to me.
I don’t want to be super critical so I’m not gonna list all the stuff out.
But I felt disappointed and a bit waste of all these great Indie game titles.
oh, and localization was full of bug, It seems not done yet.

I've put almost 10 hours into the game which I feel is enough to write a review fairly. So first off yes there is a lot of issues that need to be addressed (the discussions says it all) But! that doesn't mean the game isn't fun. I was able to look the other way with all the issues and actually enjoy the game fully and I have to say it's actually good! A lot of people may not agree with me but i'm not here to argue i'm here to say that this game does have a lot of potential and even though it got released with high expectations for a lot of gamer's and was not delivered at launch does not mean you should look the other away and ignore this game. I realize that the developers are a small crew and that it will take time to address all the known issues but for the mean time I support this game fully. I've enjoyed the content it has at the moment and I am happy I purchased this on day one, this way I can see the game grow and evolve into something even more amazing then it already is! If your hesitant on purchasing the game definitely wish list it and keep an eye out for upcoming updates otherwise I recommend it. Be patient as in time the game will slowly become what everyone wanted.

Now i know that there team is VERY SMALL and this is their first outing but sometimes you gotta accept the truth. I hate to do this, and i hope it doesn't go off onto a tangent, but here it is:
The game's concept is amazing. Having indie characters duke it out against each other within a roster that boasts quite a few fan favourites (whilst lacking others) makes this a wonderful thing. They look great, sound great but unfortunately do not play great. EVER.
Combat is boring, repetitive and feels like a chore to do instead of something that's meant to be fun within a fighting game. Not sure if it's the lack off combos, moves or the overall slow feel of it but the combat is a road less travelled and to make a fighting game you gotta have great combat, but that's not here.
Graphically wise it is below average. In a fighting game it doesn't matter about the graphics because that not what you play for, but here when nothing else connects the world feels empty with the lack of emphasis on the background. At least the music is always nice to hear, but in a fighting game that doesn't help either.
Multiplayer. I bought the game knowing that multiplayer wouldn't exist anytime soon which didn't bother me as the game itself looked fun to play. As time went on and lack of interesting modes were present the non existent multiplayer dawned upon me shouting; this game really needs competition against others. Without having that on the fly really makes this game a shallow one especially considering that there are no difficulty settings for the AI either is really strange.
This feels like paid for prototype rather then anything else. Even paying £13 something for this didn't qualify and quite frankly you'd be better off spending it elsewhere. A fighting game that lacks every fighting game needed aspects? Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear

Thought it had potential it got release too early with too many issues and way too many delays
how one dev got the rights to all these characters for his first project i have no idea
if they ever consider asking community for help to fix then maybe it could go some where but now its pretty meh

The animations and hit registry are atrocious.
Music is good and the character selection is pretty nice but overall feels really jank.
This needed more time....... The special moves are a bunch of sparkle effects. The effects on your attack are what is counted as the hit, not the sword swinging or the punch landing its the effects they throw off that hits.
Locked at 1080p resolution or lower.
No multiplayer lobby or match making.

I was pretty excited for this game due to its concept of mixing a bunch of popular indie games. However, I've played for 20 minutes and I just feel disappointed. The game feels clunky and the combat doesn't have much variation to it. The AI is not good at all, I was able to beat the highest level bots by just spamming light attack. Usually this doesn't matter, but there's no online so playing with bots is the only way to enjoy the game if you don't have friends around.
Everything about this game just doesn't feel finished. I wish they put it in early access to get some more funds and really flush everything out. I feel like they spent most of their budget on the roster and dropped the ball on everything else. If you wanna enjoy an indie game, just play any of the games that are featured in this one instead for a much better time.
