beautiful game with everything else being generic.

This is a roguelike game and a prequel to the main game Frontier Hunter. I'd recommend you to play the main game first since it's a more complete metrovania experience, and then come back to this game if you like the combat. That said I do enjoy this game over all. For one thing, Erza in this game is a younger version of herself, and has a more fun personality. And makes funny faces that brighten the mood. And the music is great. You just shouldn't expect too much stories or quests. Oh and the EN text is pretty broken. But you can guess the meaning most of the time. Or just play the game in CN if you can understand it.

It plays like a much worse, soulless version of Dead Cells with an anime lady. The English translation is so bad that many important gameplay details are just not intelligible. Just play Dead Cells

Game is pretty decent, it has a lot of potential that it never really managed to achieve. You can have pretty decent fun for most of the experience..... but it then becomes a grind without much point rather to reach unreasonable thresholds of stats for the so called "end game" challenges between challenge difficulty (stats sponge only) and secret boss (same) Still a good value for offer price and decent fun

I only gave a positive review because I bought this game at a big discount, which means it's an enjoyable cheap game. Indeed, as many people have said, the game needs to be more polished. For me, the game has so many interesting things but they do not work in practice because of the easiness of the game. The game is super easy (seems to be made for kids) which means that it is not necessary to perform any combos or use any skills, you can just simply keep hitting your enemies until they are defeated. To clarify, you can hit stop most enemies with a simple hit; only some bosses will have a stage where they won't be affected by hit stop. At this point, performing any combos or using any skills is for the sake of enjoying their animations as it does not "distinctly" deal more damage. I would suggest you consider buying this game only with its big discounts. The game is good for killing time, but not that good if you want to play a game with deep systems.
