I think it's FUN. Definitely worth the $14. Tropical island and Zombie graphics are good. Really glad I got it for my Oculus Rift.

well, the graphics are very good. the sunny island is a joy to be on. beautiful. But I play my VR in a 5.5 x 5.5 meter or 18x18ft play space for extra immersion because every step you can take in real life adds to the immersion. this games roomscale mechanics are bad.. the center of your space is where the smooth locomotion origin is.. and it keeps getting hung up on stuff. if you dont stay planted in the very center of your room. Also I was dodging projectiles from the zombies using room scale but they just hit the center of my playspace and killed me. for some reason I wasn't able to use the fix floor option in OVRAS(open vr advanced settings) because it recognized this game as a sitting only game.. so yeah game would work great for just sitting or standing in the center of your room I guess. the voice acting is pretty bad on some lines but I still liked it. I liked the attempt of story. Kinda charming. also if you are to far from the center of your space you cant pick up stuff or activate stuff.. I tried using space turn in OVRAS for manual redirected walking but this broke the game so I tried using the snap and smooth turning for less seamless manual redirected walking but this also broke the game... :( I would recommend for $16 if you wanna sit and play or don't mind just planting in the middle of the room... also there is only automatic reload you don't even have to push a button.. would like to see some realistic manual reload mechanics or at least make me push the reload button. hope they fix this stuff.

I like the concept of the game, the story line, the functionality with the Oculus Touch controllers, and the graphics are decent, but there are two major downfalls of the game; 1. being that the game is currently too glitchy to play considering that during gameplay you will constantly glitch through walls and boardwalks making it practically impossible to pick up some items you need or difficult to move through the game such as the glitching not allowing you to walk in a straight line on a flat surface like there are invisible walls, and 2. the aiming with guns could be tweaked a little because it doesn't feel like a good experience to aim down sights but your actual shot is way off somewhere. I do feel the game has good potential to be an enjoyable VR game to play if these issues are fixed, and I am not able to comment more since I wasn't able to get far in the game because of the glitching.

Is this game Walking Dead Saints and Sinners or Arizona Sunshine...no it is not. Is it a fun arcady zombie shooter on a tropical island...yes it is. Graphics are really good and the game is really fun to play. It is free roam and mostly open world with a few out of bounds areas. It has free locomotion and the controls are intuitive and easy. There is a little scavenging but mostly for ammo. It's a genuine blast to play...

It's VERY early access but honestly, I enjoyed what I played. It reminds me a lot of a VR Dead Island in many obvious ways - minus any crafting (as yet). It is true that some of the hit detection seems a little wonky and it is still pretty raw in other areas (the main character's dialog is... err... not so great) but it is playable. (The rag doll effects are way too over done right now though - ridiculously so.) I also found the weapons to be hit and miss (joke intended) with control issues but this IS early access. It is actually much more functional than many other early access VR games I have tried. I do wish you could store Melee weapons (at least I have not found a way) but hopefully that will come later - they also break much too quickly. I feel there is a lot of potential here and want to support the developers so I chose to get it now. It does need a great deal of polishing and patching and is a little buggy, but again... early access. If you are not thrilled with games in development you should wait a bit longer on picking it up - just keep in mind though, that the price is pretty cheap right now. I am truly interested in seeing how it progresses now that it has finally been released...

I really liked something about it as I did their Dead Ground Arena prelude game. Give that game or the demo a download if you want to see what the visuals are like. I was very impressed with the environment visuals and there are enough different zombies to make me feel like I am on a zombie infested paradise island. The zombies are nicely done in this game. There were quiet moments where i liked looking at the beautiful sunset as a legless topless zombie dragged themselves along the sandy shore. The ragdolls definitely need more weight and gore as shooting them in head nearly always results in their head coming completely off and flying through the air rather than splatter sometimes. Plenty of weapons although again the melee needs a bit of weight to it. I think it is a good start which I paid a tenner for. I really took my time getting use to the controls and exploring/searching everything and have 100 minutes so far just finished the first episode but I am sure you could waltz though it much quicker. I liked the little touches like the collectable figurines and smoking the cigar blowing out smoke London Heist/Blood & Truth style. I enjoyed what I played and am going to enjoy seeing the game develop.

I have never tried an early access VR game before and this being my first I was pleasantly surprised. The graphics are great, but I was a little underwhelmed with the performance when using anything above MED settings. I have a 5.0ghz i9 9900KS with a 3090RTX I hope that the game we see completion, and other things like CO-OP mode get included with the final project. There are also some times where the camera changes (bridge scene) and I almost fell on my ass. There has to be a better way to transition these scenes. I will recommend this project to my friends, as I think there is a hidden gem in here.

The Game Has a Lot of Charm, But is Lacking in Execution Played on a Valve Index, i7-8700, 16GB RAM, GTX1070Ti. As other people have reported, you essentially have Dead Island VR here. Pros and Cons are as follows: Pros: - The graphics for some reason takes me back to earlier Dead Rsing/Dead Island games. Not quite state-of-the-art, but effectively provides a fun, playable atmosphere, but without the usual dark skies apocalypse setting. - The little VR statues you get to collect remind of the ones Batman Arkham VR. - Aiming with the iron sights is pretty fun, as long as you have a light colored background. - The mission structure is pretty simplistic, but given the game has an arcade feel to it, it is not out of place. It is also a shame that through Mission 2, there seems to be a plot structure that could go into much more detail. - At certain times when the soundtrack is playing, it is effective in capturing a 'coming evil' mood that adds to the atmosphere. Cons: - Currently no smooth turning, or even snap turning. It's not hard to physically turn, but with my HMD cable on the floor, it got in my way a lot, freuqently causing myself to stop playing. - Once you grip something, you better hang onto it tight. Relaxing your grip slightly generally caused me to drop an item, or have a gun return to its holster. - Picking up objects was often tricky in that you have to wait until a hand icon appears on the object before you can. You get used to it,but seems it could be slightly more forgiving. - Getting too close to certain objects/walls caused my HMD to black out. - The tutorial didn't effectively teach me all the controls the first time through. It took me awhile to figure out how it was done (I got spoiled by other games having me placed ammo in a bag/pouch. - The rag-doll physics are a bit on the extreme side, and the guns can blow a head off a zombie to such a far distance, I felt the guns should've been banned in my country. - I don't know what happened on the 1st Boss cinematic, but I literlly had no idea what was going on even after it was over. There was alos a cinematic with a woman trying to save my life that should've felt dramatic, but instead felt like I somehow had been violated due to the rather erratic camerawork. - The zombies generally are not scary unless they attack you in sufficient numbers. Although there are a lot more negatives than positives, I did have a good time playing the game, but a Thumbs Up cannot be given at this time when so much of the game was preventing me from becoming truly engaged in it.

The game is fine as an idea , story , and graphics as it seems but the big drawback is the Gameplay. At this state , the gameplay is really bad , barely can grab anything :/

The phrase "seamless immersion" is used in the description. This is a lie. Invisible walls, actual walls that you can walk through (and make the screen go black for some reason), text that gets jammed over your face, melee hit boxes are... off. It was enough that I had to stop playing after half an hour or so. Has a lot of promise, hopefully it improves.
