Warning: Asset Flip!
SAS VS Zombies is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The Russian "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store packs, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers. This asset flip is just a basic wave survival shooter where you wander around a single asset flipped map full of asset flipped structures and shoot asset flipped zombies. It's complete moral and intellectual bankruptcy that caused this Russian asset flip garbage to infest Steam. There's no value in this trash for gamers, and it's a pretty clear reason why Valve should consider terminating the disastrous Steam Direct program. Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. Ghost_RUS Games/Nikita "Ghost_RUS" have a known history of trying to scam people into paying them money for someone else's work, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. One example of Ghost_RUS Games/Nikita "Ghost_RUS" doing this is Robots Attack On Vapeland, which is really the "Third Person Shooter Kit" asset, written by the actual developers, Epic Games. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The developers didn't design the game for modern gaming PCs, as such the display resolution caps out at 1080p, a very low resolution that became mainstream back in 2006 and became obsolete when 4K entered the mainstream in 2014. The game simply won't look right on modern gaming displays due to this failure on the part of the developers. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 2 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. It's also important to note the "developer" here has connections to a number of shady Russian asset flippers and review manipulators who show an organised pattern to scam and defraud gamers with fake reviews and asset flipping the work of others for profit. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. Buying games from unethical developers puts your money at risk. A special note: While game reviews must be about the game, as this review has been, it's sometimes important for gamers to be aware when there's problems with the developers. In this case, Nikita "Ghost_RUS", a Russian shovelware scam artist who routinely abuses Steam by polluting the marketplace with shovelware like this game. Nikita "Ghost_RUS" continually sends a message of racism, bigotry, homophobia and hate speech through his games, in direct violation of Valve's guidlines for acceptable game content. You can read more about it in this article by the Sentinels of the Store curator group. This is something I feel potential customers should be aware of for two reasons. First, I understand completely that gamers may not want to buy games with such horrible, antihumanitarian messages of hate such as games from Nikita "Ghost_RUS". Secondly, gamers must be aware that if Valve decides to do the right thing and enforce their policy against hate speech and bigotry in games, games such as this will be banned. So, buying games from Nikita "Ghost_RUS" may be putting your money at risk. SAS VS Zombies is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 9,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.

SAS VS Zombies is another fake game from "Nikita "Ghost_RUS". You play as a generic soldier asset facing cardboard cut-out "zombies". You "battle" the zombies in a small section in a large empty map where low quality assets have been dumped with no care in the center. As always you can run until you walk completely off the map and fall into oblivion. When you're trying to rip people off as fast as you can with fake games, who has time for quality control right? Just pump that garbage out as fast as you can and hope some poor fool buys it without checking up on it first, that's the business model of "Nikita "Ghost_RUS", who has so far released 13 fake games in 2018 so far and we're only in March. The controls in this are completely incompetent. This "developer" doesn't appear to even know how WASD works. When you hold "s" you should be backstepping with "a" and "d" being strafe left or right and "w" as move forward. Instead, you get the controls of a twin stick shooter. Hold "a" and your character turns left and runs left, hold "s" and your character turns towards you the player and runs directly at you. These are controls you would find in a twin stick shooter, not a FPS or a 3PS. The game has very limited options and some are missing entirely like fullscreen / window mode. This is a problem because the game automatically launches to the wrong monitor. Luckily you can force it to the center with ALT + ENTER, then pressing WIndows Key + Right Arrow a few times. One feature that makes this even less enjoyable is the blindingly bright sun which shines THROUGH THE GROUND from the other side of the planet. The light makes it hard to see and you can't really escape it since it's SHINING THROUGH THE GROUND!!!!.... There is no actual game in here either. You can shoot cardboard cutouts for a "score" but who cares, it has no value. There are no leaderboards, there is no story, there is no progression, there is no anything other than assets dumped with no care. This isn't fun at all, not even for one single second. You can hold the right mouse button down to aim and shoot in a completely indept fashion if you want to but there really isn't any point in doing so. This isn't a game, this is a scam. Unsurprisingly, this release by "Nikita "Ghost_RUS" is absolutely pathetic and disgusting.
