I went to college witht the developers of this game so I have high respect for themand I thought they were among the best in our class so I have been waiting for this game for a while now and gotta say I am thourghly enjoying it. Good Design and art style Fun Puzzles Interesting plot with dark themes Music that fits well with the setting and adds atmosphere now onto the nitpicks : Health system is a bit confusing. I garnered that if you do not approach a campfire the character would freeze to death. I only game to that conclusion as I wlaked a long path and my screen edges started icing I guess. The ice only went away when I found a campfire. I reccomend adding a brief note over the first campfire telling players to keep warm. I also had a problem with the rockslides you can encounter as I did not know if you could be damaged by them until I was killed by one. Again I would reccomend added a note near the first trigger advising players to beware rockslides. Some areas of the game I can see the player floating above the ground where the ground it self is kind alower than its collider. The grey tone of the game also hindered me a bit as when exploring a cave I found it hard to tell some walls apart from the fog of the world and made it hard to see where I was walking. I would reccomed added some more light to the torch as it seems a bit dim to me in game. Some animations also looked abit weird such as the pipe puzzle where you must guide a air current to a windmill fan. When the fan is rotating it rotating and circling its plint at the same time and kinda looks jaring. also to me movement speed seems a bit sluggish thoug h given the players is a small child I can understand that. These cons are just minor nitpicks I had along with some reccomendations to fix them but overall I actgually enjoy the game and am having fun playing it. also sorry for any and all spelling mistakes. writing is my strong suit and steam hasn't got a spell checker I can see. I highly reccomend this game to anyon elooking for a fun indie game

So I start by walking slowly through a featureless low polygon landscape. Very slowly, oh so terribly slooooowly. Then I must solve some puzzles. I only can walk slowly, oh so frustratingly slowly between the parts of the puzzle. Puzzle A is fortunately solved on the first try. On Puzzle B something goes wrong, so I have to restart it. I can't be bothered to spend minutes walking slowly, oh so infuriatingly slowly between the different areas of the puzzle, so I quit and uninstall the game. I can't say anything about the quality of the puzzles, because you spend an absurd amount of time walking around in a boring and featureless landscape. In 15 minutes I just made it to the second puzzle. As a pure puzzle game, just clicking stuff with your mouse, this might have worked, but the current state is a very sad affair. It's so mind-numbingly boring, I wouldn't play it for free.

This game is a must buy in my eyes! I really enjoyed my time playing this game, and even went back for a second run to get the no deaths achievement. Both playthroughs were fantastic and enjoyable. The art style is fantastic. The low poly style and cold colours work well together to deliver a beautiful looking game. Low poly can be hard to pull off at times, but these guys really nailed it on the head! I had the pleasure of talking to games 3D modeller when I was streaming the game, he talked to my chat and answered any questions they had. The puzzles for the game are not too hard to get your head around, there are bits that can be a challenge but you won't be wracking your brain every 5 minutes to get through the game. Each puzzle room is designed well and they each fit into the game perfect. The music really sets the scene for me. I really enjoyed not only the background music but the sound effects of the game too. The sounds and music were done really well, which can be hard to find in small indie games like this. The story is good, I didn't really understand it until it was explained by the developer, but what he told me and what I had seen was good. I think the game is better looked at as a casual puzzle game than a story driven one. Overall: 8/10 Also the developers are very nice people, and I met two of the team when I went to the 9-Bit Gaming Conference in Dublin, I am excited to see what they bring on next.

I really enjoyed Solas, it has a nice relaxed atmosphere, beautiful music, and some solid puzzles. I missed the achievement for not dying and I'm looking forward to playing through it again. There is not a whole lot of hand holding in terms of where to go so I was happy enough to wander off in a random direction and tackle each of the game's areas.

Nice little puzzle game. The story could be improved/elaborated on, and some of the puzzles were much too easy, but some took some thinking to figure out. Not a bad way to spend 60-90 minutes. I do wish the main character looked more like a girl. She looks like a little boy, but maybe that's just the art style.

This may be one of best possible indie games there is on the market. it literally has everything between fighting, cosy, puzzles and so many more. The atmosphere in the game too. Words literally coudnt even explain how good it is. Music? oh how about the music, everything fits into its place when you need it too. The sounds memorise my ears every time I hear it. Puzzles are the perfect amount as not too easy but not too hard. The artwork in this game is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen in my whole life. the ending had me so shocked! nothing is wrong with this game at all. Should 100% get goty 2024. If not I will sue them. Such a masterpiece of a game.

Brilliant indie game, lovely peaceful atmosphere thanks to the beautiful music and cute graphics. Very cool the way the game has no words for direction whatsoever, just clever indications of what to do like following the winter spirit, takes a little getting used to but very well done. The puzzles are really enjoyable. Keeps you wondering what will be next as you continue your journey. Would definitely recommend!!

Very Nice and beautiful game, while playing through this game it did remind me so much of Zelda and the artwork used to tell the story telling was very suitable and most definately unique to my eyes. I found this game very calm and peaceful. Gameplay: The game had a beautiful start but after finishing the first section of the puzzles it just felt like rinse and repeat with slightly different puzzle layout. it felt like while thinking of the puzzles they put more time into difficulty of the puzzle rather than adding variation of different machanics. There seemed to be alot of times where i was walking through the snow and nothing happens for a long period of time. This being said, i was wowed by how beautiful the game looked but eventually it didnt even matter how nice it looked and i was more focused on what would happen next or to see an event refering to the plot of the story. The avalanches were very confusing, i didnt know where they were landing. Story: the story seemed to be non-existing throughout the gameplay, the game only seemed to show a bit of story is after you finish a puzzle section of the game. At the start of the game it shows a spirit guiding you to the first temple. after that the spirit doesnt show up at all throughout the gameplay. In my opinion, there seemed to be a hugely missed opportunity in using spirits to storytell throughout the gameplay e.g. while walking through the snow you can see spirits of the people or wild-life that used to live there and see what it was like before the winter. It would have kept the atmosphere alive for me.
