Blackwell Unbound Reviews
The year is 1973. The sound of a lone, ethereal saxophone drifts over the Roosevelt Island promenade, while a series of accidents plague a midtown construction site. The citizens of Manhattan take no notice of these events, let alone think they are connected.

This one’s a solid follow-up to The Blackwell Legacy, offering another engaging, atmospheric entry in the series. I really appreciated the way it deepens the lore of the Blackwell universe while maintaining the same moody, ghostly charm that made the first game so compelling. Playing as Lauren Blackwell, a no-nonsense, chain-smoking medium, gives the story a fresh perspective, and her dynamic with Joey is just as entertaining as it was between Rosa and him.
That said, the game is noticeably short, even by indie adventure standards. The puzzles are logical and well-integrated into the story but tend to be on the easier side, making it a fairly brisk experience. While the writing, music, and atmosphere are all top-notch, I couldn’t help but wish there was a little more meat on the bones. Still, it’s a must-play for fans of the series, hopefully setting the stage for what’s to come.

I ripped through the whole series pretty quickly and this was a great second instalment. Love the storyline and characters.

Originally played the series 2016 and replaying again in order this time.
Unbound the second game in the series.
I have a total of 2.5 hours in the game, so first time took me about 1h 20-30m.
I managed to beat the game the second time in 1h 10m.
This one is shorter than the first game, I believe the shortest in the series. It is a prequel.
There's not much else I can say other than it's good for what it is.
I still recommend the series.
