This is solid DLC for an already excellent game. $5 for 3 maps is reasonable considering that they're real doozies and took me a couple tries each to get gold medals on, plus some restarts along the way. They're challenging without being unfair, each one featuring some particular level gimmick to shake things up a bit. Definitely recommended to buy once you finish the base game's content.

This isn't a particularly strong DLC. It's worth it if you want more of the same content from the base game, albeit slightly-below-average content. They add some new mechanics but they aren't particularly strong IMO, and the maps are additionally not great. Last Bastion is the better DLC.

This DLC adds 3 new levels in Europe which are quite challenging and add new mechanics. The DLC also expands the story a little bit. I recommend it if you want to expand your gameplay from the main game, as it takes place right after the main game's ending, and if you want more challenging levels with mechanics that will require you to rethink how you play.

the three maps this DLC introduces are fine, but the final boss in france is ABSOLUTE bullshit... the tactics the game tells you to use are pretty much ineffective and the only way to beat the boss is just sheer chance that your towers will hit the correct hitboxes because there are too many areas for your fighter to target in the short amount of time the game gives you to do damage to the boss.

This DLC only offers three missions, and honestly, only one was worth playing. The first map punishes strategic turret placement with an area-of-effect weapon that disables them, killing any real lane-designing options and forcing a specific playstyle. On top of that, the map is too dark to be visually appealing. It’s not terrible, but there’s nothing here that makes me want to revisit it.
The second map is the only one I found enjoyable enough to return to and grind out higher scores on. It features a gimmick where certain areas can't be directly attacked with your fighter, meaning the outskirts can only be defended with turrets. It’s not invasive and adds a bit of flavour without restricting your strategy.
The third map has a very solid lead-up but is completely ruined by a tedious final boss. Since there’s no checkpoint at the start of the last wave, you’re stuck replacing dozens of turrets every time you want to rework your setup, making the whole process laborious. That boss alone kills any replay value for this map despite the fun leading up to it.
With the higher difficulty in this DLC, every map suffers from a backward difficulty curve. They start out challenging with just you and a handful of turrets, but as you build up defences, they become easier to a much greater degree than the base game and end up feeling like you’re just burning out the clock instead of experiencing a fun, exciting buildup.
The new human commander you face is just a rehash of the original, with the same plan to take you down, but with none of the charm of the base game’s antagonist. Only getting three missions is already weak, but with two of them being total misses, this DLC was a huge disappointment.
DLC Overview
The X-Morph: Defense - European Assault DLC Contains 3 unique extra Levels for $7.50AUD.
Each location takes place in Europe (Finland, Netherlands & France) and offers unique scenery not originally seen in the base game. Each level offers a greater challenge than that of the base games campaign while providing an exciting tower defence experience with new AI offensive abilities unique to each corresponding level.
The European Assault DLC does not provide new units or abilities for the X-Morph race however during the third and final mission, a new turret will be added to your arsenal.
Each mission is without a doubt action packed with a LARGE amount of units per wave. If you enjoyed the campaign or survival experience this DLC will be a blast.
Conclusion
If you are going to purchase the European Assault DLC, While I believe its definitely worth the full price of $7.50, just as the base game is worth its original price, The DLC's do receive a significant discount during sales, recently down to 75 cents.
Ultimately the decision is yours but without a doubt, European Assault is worth a play through.

Like some other I fell this is too short to be worth the trouble (3 levels) and the mechanics for these specific levels are atrocious. The last boss is just....disgusting. Not worth your time, stick to the main game.

I wish to give it a "good" but I can't.
Reasons:
1. Short. Only 3 levels.
2. There are different strategical disadvantage at different level but not utilized well with the level.
3. The last boss. Very tough armor, high speed hit and run, keep changing path while ram into your tower cluseters, shoots ranged weapons to destroy your towers, direct missiles attack to the core. And if these are not enough, it become invulnerable while being escorted by 6 heavy armor unit!!!! This is not hard, this is sadistic. Attack cycle is too frequent that you do have time to rebuild.
I feel no fun at all, and surely no satisfaction after defeating it. Hard in some way is fun, but this is not. Fuck this I am done, let the last level go fuck itself.

It was fun. It has only three new missions but all of them are pretty well made. Those missions are harder than the base game so that's a plus if you love a challenge. Boss fight was enjoyable too and price is very acceptable even without a sale. So yea I recommend it.

It's only three missions, but each one has a unique twist, and they're very difficult. Completing them on Hard difficulty took me about 5+ hours (lot of strategizing) and was fairly satisfying to beat, which given it's 5 bucks, it's a good deal. Plus there's a good chance that down the road, they'll add these maps to Survival Mode, thus adding more replayability. The dialogue is cheesy and campy (especially the scientist dude), but somehow, that made it more satisfying to crush these pitiful excuses of humans.
