Legend is better. Legend has better acrobatics, better physics, a better mansion, better combat. Legend is the best Tomb Raider game, followed by this and Underworld, in whatever order you like. The acrobatic move set in Legend is literally infinite. Hold Forward, crouch, crouch, hold backwards jump jump crouch crouch etc. You can make it up as you go along

Challenging. Doesn't treat you as an imbecile like most of the today's games do.

Great game, but the camera sucks and the people who made the mission 13 deserves the hell :)

This Tomb Raider is a good remake, easy to get into and fun to play without being brutally difficult.

Oh boy... I did not remember the game to be this frustrating! Realistically this would be more of a "mixed" recommendation. What was so annoying then? The camera. It's absolute garbage. It auto-orientates behind Lara constantly. It does sudden direction changing snaps during platforming and climbing, sometimes it even rotates mid-jump! It also tries to rotate behind Lara during combat while she's being rag-dolled by enemy attacks. This is especially annoying against multiple enemies capable of knocking Lara down, resulting in her getting essentially stun locked for however many seconds. In short, the camera ruins exploration, platforming and combat. Therefore ruining most of the experience. But if you can put up with it, the game is still worth playing. There are also other little annoyances / let-downs. Inconsistent platforming and QTE cutscene "boss fights" against human antagonists. With all that said, however... The environments look great, and it was a genuine joy to witness the remade locations. The puzzles, too, were mostly good. Sound design is also good.

The hardest Tomb Raider game I've ever played. A lot of puzzles and almost no tips, like a good game should be. You can get mad sometimes but it's an interesting challenge this one. Already played for 22 hours and I haven't completed the story yet.

It's more than I expected, and runs very well on most machines. The controls are slightly reinvented, but make sense when you get use to them, They're kind-of like half-fps controls, you don't lose the precise control of direction, it's simply facilitated by control of the direction of your view (like fps). I might call this control scheme "puppet fps" mode. It's cool.

This is the childhood game for me. So maybe it’s not kind of objective review. But still the game is almost perfectly combine riddles difficulty and some shooting stuff. There are some disbalances and bugs (like sometimes you can roll block on wrong side & this will block you from continuing). But anyway the game is feels great. Also it very good to play on Steam Deck.

sadly game port to steam is not nicely done, can't pass checkpoint into jungle because of imprecise invisible blockers. also it's seen when you scale walls - especially when turning corners that character is floating in the air.
