i definetly got my moneys worth of fun. but disappointed that i couldnt finish the game because of glitch late in the game where laura will not grab a ledge. ive tryed all the advice on how to get past it but none work for me. also expect to fight the camera alot, but i guess that is what we used to do in 3d games:)

tr:a!! basically a remake from the first game, im i glad i can experienced that masterpiece with a better graphics and control. at first i was confused, like why did in legend they have all these equipment and advanced gear and tech whereas in anniv they dont, also why zip and allister werent there (and that was b4 i realized that this ones a remake from the old game). puzzles are really intricate and detailed, but thankfully i still can solved em all without looking up on google lol, really nice environment. tomb, places are beautiful. enemy and boss fights are fun. i really enjoyed it. but as usual theres always bug and things on old games, i think ive seen two and had to look up google on how to get off it. one i should turn v-sync on and the other i have to copy my save files and delete the older one to get rid of the bug, thankfully it works like charm :)

I played this when it first came out but I wanted to give it another go since I have been on a TR run lately. What a fantastic remake. The Legend trilogy is exactly that, LEGENDARY!! This was absolutely fantastic and stayed very true to the first game which is a masterpiece in my opinion. I recommend this every TR fan out there.

This game serves as both remake of Tomb Raider 1 and prequel to Tomb Raider Legend. It gains and suffers from both aspects and here is why. From positive things, the game is longer than Legend. More levels and more puzzles. Unlike Legend where it was very action packed, Anniversary feels more balanced. Anniversary introduces adrenaline shot mechanic, which gives a little bit of spice to fight sections. Weapon variety is also bigger than in Legend, which includes all weapons Lara has in original Tomb Raider 1. Some puzzles and parkour sections are challenging, which homages classic era of Tomb Raider. From negatives I would list how they remade Tomb Raider 1. While the game included all levels from the original game, some levels are more fleshed out while others feel watered down versions of themselves. Atlantis section was the biggest disappointment of them all. Lara's character is slightly different from what she is in Legend and definitely not the same as she is in original Tomb Raider 1. Personally I do not like some of the character and enemy remade looks. This game has quick time events, just like Legend, but unlike Legend where they did not feel like interrupting or removing important sections of the gameplay, for Anniversary it feels completely opposite. Anniversary removed some bossfights from original game and replaced them with boring quick time events, which is very disappointing. All in all, the game is definitely not bad, but it left a bit unpleasant after taste of how they handled remaking Tomb Raider 1. Rating: [b]3/5[/b]

It really is what you expect from a Tomb Raider game: nothing less, but nothing more. 1 hour into the game and I'm still 'discovering' new moves (Lara can perch on top of some poles and whatnot, nothing revolutionnary) The animals (wolves, bears) are quite annoying, tend to jumpscare, and it's not really clear how you're supposed to avoid them. Also, DESPITE what's being advertised on the Steam page, this game is NOT fully compatible with XBOX controllers: I had to use my keyboard to dive into water. A nice re-imagining of the original tomb raider game. The issue is the janky camera and controls that hold it back from being peak. I like this game a lot but I have to say the best way to play the original game is the remaster of the original game. It just feels like I spent more time wrestling with the camera and controls more than raiding the tombs or fighting enemies. Edit: Yeah wtf was that last level? I was thinking it was rather decent but that last level was actual cancer. Just play the OG remaster

Pretty bad re-coding to be honest. Just compare the first bear fight to the original and you'll see what I mean. No reason to play this with the TR1-2-3 remastered version available.

This is an amazing game and second only to Legend. A fresh take on Lara and the story of the story of the original game while weaving it in with the new story. Lara is nimble and easy to control and absolutely gorgeous throughout the game. She's fun and agile and the combat is enjoyable. The levels and pacing are a little harder than Legend but it fits the style of the game and works quite well. This is an excellent Tomb Raider game and a far cry better than the new trilogy that came after it.
