In my opinion the game is unplayable with any other hero than the stone statue dude with the gameplay at 3x speed. The micromanagement aspect of the fights does not fit the gameplay at all. Unless you want a run to take forever.

I had a real hard time focusing on all of the information that displayed across the screen. It made my eyes shoot all around, and I felt like it was just being dumped on me. I had no idea what was going on in the game, and felt like all i was doing was clicking over and over.

Its an autochess roguelite! I've been waiting for one, and this one is pretty good. I wish that your commander abilities felt more impactful- they feel pretty limp and ineffectual, with the exception of the ones that reposition the enemies. The game gets a bit slow, and a bit solveable. Unlike autochess/underlords/whatever, there aren't other players to keep you on your toes (obviously), so its fairly easy to build a super tanky team and slowly kill everything.Still, I got 14 hours out of it,and enjoyed almost all of it :)

It's not a perfect game. But if you really want something to play, this is an okay option. I'd give it like a 7/10. The devs are still working on it, so one day it could end up super good. But who knows.

This game is awesome! so many difference playstyles depending on the hero you pick. So many choices and variables. while there is no lore, i found myself not minding it. yea an orcs an orc, i know your story bro...the combat is amazing and once again, customizing your characters in a way you want them, from crowd control to boss killer. Leveling up characters was really interesting and fun. choices and sacrifice every turn. its so simple but theres so much in it simplicity its great.

Little fun hidden gem of a game made by a unknown studio, it's a pretty good roguelike strategy game! It requires a bit of trial and error to learn things since this game is so small, it doesn't really have a "community" and the english side of the community is even smaller Solid 6/10 a good time kill, pretty reasonable price and solid gameplay

About as good of a game as an SRPG fan can spend <$10 bucks on. Lots of character variation and customization. I liked the many different classes.

42 Hours + 38/39 Achievements = Fantasy of Expedition = Win+1 It takes a while to warm up to this game. You may not enjoy it until 10-15 hours in but I say give it a shot and appreciate the attention to detail around army building and/or hero optimizations as you ratchet up the difficulty. There are nuances I didn't learn until far into the game like, for example, in order to utilize bonuses your heroes of the same kind must be standing right beside each other in the lineup. So, for example, two 1* Healers would need to be side by side in order to have the bonus. There are other pieces that would have been nice to know early on too but those would be quasi spoilers so I will just summarize by saying do pay attention to your team bonuses. They matter quite a lot in Expedition runs. For Endless, focus on your hero and leverage the item which gives Attack with each 200 gold in the bank. That is the single most important artifact in Endless.

Collect two squads (vanguard and rearguard) of units and lead them through battles. Your main character stands behind and just activates 3 skills strategically while other 12 units run around and try to kill enemy units. You can order one or both squads to move to a location to avoid a devastating AOE but have no other control so how you build your squads is important. After each battles you can either get a random unit or one of the two items that boost yours or your unit's stats. You can see class or affinity (Light/Nature/Dark) before choosing the first option and then you get a choice out of 3 units with ability to pay gold to get another 3 added to a list. You can combine 3 of the same unit into one unit of next level which gives him some passive effect and increases base stats. On the map you can encounter altars which give one free blessing (essentially a passive skill) and as many as you want extras if you have the cash. Combinations of units also gives different bonuses, like having 4 units of Triage class (healers) lets all your units regenerate 2% max hp per 2 seconds or having 4 units of Light alignment gives extra HP and Attack to all Light units. This gives a lot of ways to customize your team (less skill variety but higher passive bonuses or more skill variety but less passive bonuses). There are sometimes bosses which may require you to control your squads to avoid their devastating attacks but most of the game you can just sit and help them by using your three skills. Overall the game is enjoyable and suffers from "one more battle" problem, where you decide to play just one more battle before you stop and go to sleep and eventually have to turn it off after 20 more battles an hour later.
