Very nice game.
The beginning of the game reminded me of the beginning of another game.
Music was also good and the atmosphere was fantastic.

If the dialogue was not so long and slow the game might not feel so tedious.
I didn't enjoy the game because of this.
The scenery was good and more could have been made of the different locations outside.
The Longest Journey and Dreamfall were so brilliant I don't know why this fell so short.
Too much of a hurry, cost cutting I guess.

Interesting story. I was getting annoyed at Lizzy and main Character's disagreeableness, but then the story introduced an element that made me forgive that writing, because it was a part of the plot. Well written little game. Dont buy at full price. 5-6$ Cad is plenty.

I was engaged, enjoyed the scenery, and enjoyed the characters. It's not a perfect experience and I have some questions about a particular item in-world that really changes the flavor of the ending, but overall this is a journey worth taking.

Beautiful scenery where I felt like I was taken back in time and with the sense of familiarity. The story was intriguing and low-key terrifying as I was playing the majority of the game late at night and I was a little sleep deprived. I would love to see more games like this, although Alice was a bit of an arse before I understood why. She also prompted to many jumpscares when entering rooms.
Absolutely worth a playthrough for the story and scenery, and since it's less than 4 hours long, depending on how much time you want for exploring it.

If you like Scandinavian folklore and atmosphere, and don't mind getting insulted by a bully sidekick all three hours long (that's how long it will take you to beat the game), there could potentially be an interesting mystery to unravel in the coastal town of Graavik.
Unfortunately, the mystery is never solved, loose ends never tied up, and the story is left unfinished. Baffling and inexcusable, considering the high production value, breathtaking and eerie musical score, and the experienced team of producers.
I would like to leave an "informational" review, but in the lack of options, I would recommend this game ONLY for the soundtrack.
If possible, I would actually recommend to just buy the soundtrack and enjoy it without polluting your ears with the insults Lizzie churns at you all game long, old bean. THAT could be a better purchase than Draugen, The Game.

This is a short (3 hour) game that is more mystery than horror and very narrative-based. The writing is a bit cringe at times, with your companion trying a little too hard and switching moods jarringly mid-conversation, but nothing deal-breaker. It's a visually beautiful game with a nice soundtrack. Apparently this was to be the first of a series, but I don't think they continued it. Don't worry, the story is self-contained.
And that's it! Not really much to say about this game.

While the game is gorgeous and the voice actors do a fantastic job, I feel like the game falls short. The twist at the end came out of nowhere and was unsatisfactory. The mystery set up was super compelling and interesting, but it was thrown out an forgotten about in favour of a plot twist which I found frustrating. The folklore aspect was brought up once then never again and had no weight to the story. Finally, I found Alice frustrating and annoying, quirky for the sake of quirky, and she is the only hint of the plot twist but by the time the twist comes you hate her

A very boring walking simulator. The character relationships and story you uncover are not compelling. Incredibly overpriced for < 4 hours of gameplay. Your actions REALLY don't impact anything and the plot just sort of happens as you click on things without any problem solving. The ending is also very anticlimactic and it feels like they kinda resolved the whole plot by the main character just stating what they think happened. Very tell don't show writing.

Draugen is a first person story-driven experience where you unravel the mystery of an abandoned Norwegian town named Graavik. It is a pretty short game, however, it’s going to bring a lot of different emotions in you and it’s going to make you crave for even more. It is a full ride. The game contains psychological as well as horror elements which only add up to the experience.
The thing that makes this game unique is the fact that we have a companion. We are accompanied by a young lady going by the name of Alice. She is a lot and literally all over the place. At the beginning I wasn’t very fond of her. She gave me a really bad impression. She was mean and pretty annoying with her comments. Over time she grew on me and I started to appreciate her presence. Those interactions became enjoyable. The town is spooky and will make players experience an eerie feeling. Having someone by your side whose location you can check by just shouting to them is interesting. It doesn’t make this place feel strange and scary anymore. It definitely wouldn’t be the same experience without her.
The visuals in this game are going to take your breath away. The town where the action takes place is located by the mountains and surrounded by the body of water. It is a bright and colourful place which leaves an enormous impression. It is an eye candy. This is a place very close to nature creating a very good and mysterious vibe. I also really loved the attention to detail. Everything just looks good. It makes you want to visit or even move to a place like this. A truly unforgettable setting.
The story is interesting and engaging but only in the first part of the game. The deeper we dive into the story, the less interesting it becomes in my opinion. I wasn't a big fan of what was happening later in the story. You will still experience plenty of different emotions while playing the game, however, it still feels like it is only a background to the characters and beautiful scenery of an abandoned town and the mystery surrounding it. You play this game for the experience, not the story.
In summary, the game turned out to be an interesting and enjoyable experience. I completed it in a single session. I honestly expected a bit of a different experience coming into this but I am not disappointed. I feel like my expectations were actually exceeded. I was having such a good time that I overstayed and listened to the sound of paddling and Alice's humming throughout the whole credits after the game. I don't regret anything and I am unable to say a negative thing about this game. It should speak for itself. It is definitely something I can recommend with a clear conscience.
