(ENGLISH + SPANISH) Guys, I think they really missed the mark with the name of this game. Beyond the fact that this new game comes from the same developers of Whack it (the one about the serial killer), we can’t forget the previous ones: the one about the neighbor, the burglars, and the stalkers. There’s even an earlier version, very similar to this one, that you can still find on the developers’ official website. It’s called World of Whack it, and it basically bundles all the original games from the series into a single package. Now, leaving aside the technical stuff and getting into the review, I’d say the game is good and has its charm, especially for nostalgic players. It brings back those classic Whack Your Flash games to Steam, now remastered, with HD audio, fully complete, and even with some new options that weren’t in the original versions. Honestly, if you’re just looking to kill some time (and a few characters), and you’re into gore and a bit of a macabre vibe, this game could be for you. That said, we have to talk about the price, because that’s where it gets a bit tricky. I’m not entirely sure if it’s really worth $5 (or $2 on sale). Yes, it’s a decent game that revives memories of experimenting with different object combinations to find the most creative and bloody ways to take down the poor character on screen, but beyond that, it doesn’t offer much. It’s a game you’ll enjoy more for the nostalgia it brings than for what it actually has to offer now. And here’s the most important part: the technical issues. This remaster has a major flaw I just can’t ignore, it's terrible optimization. You’re literally forced to play it on low graphics settings because if you set it to high, the FPS drop to the floor and the game becomes unplayable. Even on low settings, it still has performance issues and lag spikes. And this is where recommending it gets complicated, because the game hasn’t been updated in ages. It feels like the developers just dumped it on Steam and never bothered to improve it. In conclusion, the game is good, yes, but it’s far from perfect. If you’re nostalgic like me, it’ll make you smile and bring back memories of the Whack Your Flash games with a fresh coat of paint and a few upgrades. But if you’re not a fan of the series or you’re not willing to put up with technical issues, it might leave you feeling a bit let down. Honestly, Steam needs a "MEH" button or something to mark a review as "indifferent," because I’m not entirely sure it’s worth recommending at its current price. Still, I’m feeling generous, so I’ll recommend it for those who want to relive that old magic, but with some caveats. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Muchachos, me parece que le erraron con el nombre del título del juego. Más allá de que este nuevo juego viene de los mismos desarrolladores de Whack it (el del asesino serial), no podemos olvidar los anteriores: el del vecino, el de los ladrones y el de los acosadores. Incluso hay una versión previa a esta, muy similar, que todavía se puede encontrar en la página web oficial de los desarrolladores. Se llama World of Whack it, y básicamente reúne los juegos de la saga original en una misma entrega. Ahora, dejando de lado los temas técnicos y entrando en el análisis, puedo decir que el juego es bueno y tiene su encanto, especialmente para los nostálgicos. Trae de vuelta esos clásicos juegos Flash de Whack Your a Steam, esta vez remasterizados, con audio en HD, completos y hasta con opciones nuevas que no estaban en las versiones originales. Honestamente, si estás buscando matar el rato (y a unos cuantos personajes), y te gusta lo gore y la onda medio macabra, este juego te puede gustar. Eso sí, hay que hablar del precio, porque ahí ya me deja con dudas. No sé si realmente vale 5 dólares (o 2 en oferta). Sí, es un buen juego que revive esos recuerdos de cómo combinar objetos para descubrir las formas más creativas y sangrientas de eliminar al pobre personaje de turno, pero más allá de eso, no ofrece mucho más. Es un juego que se disfruta más por lo que evoca del pasado que por lo que realmente tiene para ofrecer hoy. Y ahora viene la parte más importante: los problemas técnicos. Este remaster tiene un gran defecto que no puedo pasar por alto, y es su pésima optimización. Literalmente te obliga a jugarlo en gráficos bajos, porque si lo ponés en gráficos altos, los FPS caen al piso y el juego se vuelve injugable. Incluso en gráficos bajos sigue teniendo tirones y problemas de rendimiento. Y acá es donde se complica recomendarlo, porque el juego no se actualiza hace muchísimo tiempo. Da la sensación de que los desarrolladores lo tiraron ahí en Steam y nunca más se preocuparon por mejorar nada. En conclusión, el juego es bueno, sí, pero está lejos de ser perfecto. Si sos un nostálgico como yo, te va a sacar una sonrisa y te va a devolver esos recuerdos de los juegos Flash de Whack Your, con un lavado de cara y un par de mejoras. Pero si no sos fan de la saga o no estás dispuesto a tolerar los problemas técnicos, probablemente te deje un sabor agridulce. En Steam, hace falta un botón de "MEH", o algo que diga "indiferente", porque no estoy del todo seguro si vale la pena recomendarlo al precio que tiene. De todas formas, soy generoso, y lo recomiendo para los que quieran revivir esa magia de los viejos tiempos, aunque con reservas.
