I had no idea where Hello Charlotte would go after EP2, but this is the best possible result. An intricately connected, deeply personal story expressed with outstanding characters and artwork.

Absolutely brimming with creativity, existential dread and pondering the very concept of what it means to love, live, care and create, this game is utterly unique in every shape, form and sense of the term. The nonsensicality of this world, its characters and ever-increasing timelines grows on you until it blurs into normality, but in the end, you're left feeling confused yet satisfied enough to want more. Yet know, and be content with the fact, that more would just mean more suffering. Just because something CAN continue, doesn't mean that it should. Characters need a rest, eventually. Entertainment is an endless, often-mindless and detrimental cycle, and this game speaks to and critiques that in both subtle and downright absurd ways. I hope more media can engage with both itself, and its audience, in a way like this truly special gem does.

This trilogy is ABSOLUTE PEAK. I highly recommend it to EVERYONE. If I had a nickle for every time I played a 2D top down puzzle game with a cute protagonist
that breaks the fourth wall
, and makes me seriously reevaluate my entire existence. I'd have two nickles, which isn't a lot and I kind of hope it happens more often.

To anybody reading reviews to see if you should buy this game or not, Please do. It's a very good game that I think everyone should play. (Don't forget to play the other 2 episodes before this)

SPOILERS! Hello Charlotte was an incredible game with truly no good outcomes, with fiction showing that while we want to escape from reality, we might make reality worse for someone else. I can't explain just how good this game is and there will never be anything better. It hit me on a very personal note as a writer myself and while I haven't been through the same pain as the protagonist, I feel the same way as him sometimes. Please, don't miss out on a game like this. The gameplay might be boring and repetitive, but the art style and dialogue with story saves it. The characters feel incredibly each with their own issues and traumas that haunt them, with the dialogue feeling even more real, especially in EP0. The execution is flawless with very good music chosen and, very big applause to the creator, for creating this almost entirely by herself. The final message was the hardest thing for me to get through. The game, all in all, is 10/10, and nothing will ever recreate this. Please, give it a try, it is that good.
