I watched a Youtuber I really enjoyed play this game forever ago, but they never finished the playthrough. So naturally, I had to buy it and find out what happens myself. I am thrilled that I did. If you enjoyed Papers Please I would for sure give this game a try.

Hard to get through, and I don't mean it's because of the Papers Please mechanics.

I liked it but it was TOO long! Like, I was so tired of gameplay loop after chapter 1 I never actually finished it. Before I played this game I had thought that Papers, Please was too short but no, it was of perfect length it turns out! Like, bleehhhhhhhhhh I don wanna finish it man!

Was looking for a new game after playing Papers Please for a while. The gameplay is enjoyable and the art is fantastic, reminds me of the days of Yes, Your Grace. The menu/saving system can feel a bit clunky at times and the hudbar can sometimes feel a bit cluttered. Other than that, I love this game. Looking forward to playing the DLC and the squeal.

I... would like to like this game, I really do, even just a little bit. It's just... yes, for the million and onthe review in a row I will compare it to Papers, Please. This game is pretty, it's got nice location designs, the music is generally pretty easy on the ears and it's of course got the same overall draw as Papers, Please, BUT: The biggest difference in my opinion between the two games, is that where in Papers, Please they get up on their soap box and dictate to you what an honor it is to serve your glorious nation, and do your part for the glory of Arstotska, this game just completely lacks in impact. It tells the same cautionary tale, but it does so in a way that feels so unimportant, unconcerned and a little uninspired admittedly and that just really kind of kills it for me to be honest. Granted, I will concede that good art does not a good game make, and vice versa. I respect the message, and I generally agree with it. I just wish it was more... attractive, in that way. Unfortunately, for me, it is not.

Art style is cute, but it is way too much of a drag. The "special events" aren't special and ultimately lead to nothing, the save system is limited and unintuitive, and the entire game is so repetitive. This problem doesn't occur in "Papers Please" due to the varied people, events, whereas in this game everyone is a robot. Game needs to lose a few hours of gameplay, the first time you play isn't so bad but I dread ever replaying it again. By the end of the game I was purposely skipping missions just because I didn't want to do them, I had every upgrade and all the money I could want so there was no purpose in doing any of the gravel pit missions. The health system didn't get in my way too much, as I found it very easy to complete the bonuses on each mission which led me to getting all of the apartment upgrades. The missions where you worked for the government were better since they introduced new documents and tools, but the allure wore off quickly. I understand why not many people have played this game, and why Jacksepticeye never finished it.

Game to long for it's own good. Also for some reasons load game only showed chapter 1 saves, so I couldn't restart the day before if I wanted.
