One of the best point and click games ever made. Great comedy and a funny looking art that is so nostalgic and imaginative. Story is a bit short but has a great payoff, to bad following games don't continue the same style and fantasy as this MASTERPIECE! 10/10

I played this game so much in the past. It's perfect in any way. The gorgeous art by Bill Tiller. The story is also super fun. And the music! Just wish there will a HD upgrade in the future. One tip: If you change the shader to scaleff+AA it will look even more beautiful. Highly recommend. The latter two in the series are also great.

Wonderful quest: interesting and logical puzzles, amazing story, beautiful graphics. In my opinion, much better than the first two parts in the series.

My introduction to the Monkey Island series at the age of 7. Now 34, this still hits home as one of the greatest point and click adventure games of all time. The art-style is dark, colourful with a hint of humour, and a big diversion away from the 2D point-and-click adventure the series previously built upon. As with Escape from Monkey Island, the audio design is gorgeous and creates the very essence and atmosphere of the Tri-Island Area.
Arguably one of the best Monkey Island games, Dominic Armato's debut as protagonist Guybrush Threepwood, together with Leilani Jones as the Voodoo Lady is a professional masterclass for any voice-actor.
Gladly play this in my last year on Earth and would love it as if it was the first time. Bliss.

How do you top a genre-defining landmark point-and-click adventure series?
The answer, turns out, is to add top-quality cinematic-style animation and a better user interface getting rid of on-screen verbs, while keeping all the superb comedy writing, characterisation and creative puzzles the series became known for.
Absolutely recommended for anyone who loved the first two Monkey Islands. Doesn't screw anything up, moves things forward, a satisfying length, and full of laughs.
