While Anastasia is hot as *****, her skill is as viable as Apprentice Maid on wheelchair.
Still, a must-have DLC for the game.

I was hooked on the base game after playing it once in tabletop, and certainly the base game deserves a thorough review from me at some point in the future.
I bought this DLC last night and played it for 3 hours instead of going to sleep, and I can already say it's well worth it.
- The individualized tracks for each Princess would be worth the price of admission on their own for anyone who's getting the main battle theme stuck in their head (though they have a bit more of a Slavic tone than I would have expected. Not in any way a problem, just not what I would have thought from a Japanese-inspired fantasy country). And yes, they are fitting - Flammaria's is warlike, Klam-Klam's is almost bubbly, and Laolily's is a slightly-whimsical variation on Lulunasaika's.
- Anastasia is tricky to play, but on the right supply set can be the most useful Princess and destroy people. She and Curse Witch go together like Lain and Shion do with Greedy Fairy, especially if you've bought out most of the banishing cards beforehand so your opponents can't get them. Get 5 coins, acquire one Curse Witch to purge now, purchase a second Curse Witch for later. Admittedly I was only playing against CPUs, but despite one of them being at 18 pts for five or six turns in a row, none of them ever recovered as I inched up from 3 pts to uncontested victory. Do note, as with Slash-and-Burn Farming, you cannot activate her ability if there are no more Curses left in the Market.
- I don't have a great handle yet on the new cards but so far they add some amazing complexity and strategy to the game. I don't think I can properly talk about them without referencing Magic: the Gathering, which is probably a compliment, and probably means that they are VERY powerful for a deckbuilder game like this. As I saw mentioned on its BoardGameGeek forums - this game plays fast and loose with the cards: they're not necessarily overpowered, but they allow for very swingy games and, as you can jump right into another game afterwards, that's great.
One memorable game, admittedly against weak CPUs, admittedly with an official supply set (actually no, that's a good thing, that means the official sets are cool as advertised), I got all 5 Elven Sniper and several Cait Sith. I have never played my entire deck every single turn more efficiently before in the 30+ hours I've logged in this. Unsurprisingly that turned out to be very effective, particularly when I'm discarding the 4 good cards on top of the next-closest opponent's deck every turn as an added bonus.
I also love (the concept and mechanics of) Noble Heiress and it is now a personal goal to win with just 4 of those one of these days.
CON / NOTA BENE:
- When you install this DLC, in adding the new official supply sets it will wipe any custom supply sets you have added to your copy of the game using the Supply Maker. If any of those are still relevant to you and not achievement fodder sets that have outlived their usefulness, you'll be a bit sad unless you recorded their names and contents somewhere else before installation.
