Solid metrovania with darksouls elements, clearly inspired from lovecraft and bloodborne. God-tier artistic visuals, ok quests and gameplay, very good confusing story with some interpretations. I highly recommended. Also thank you for not putting that retarded enemy touch damage that some metrovania games have.
As cons:
1.exploration gets confusing real fast until you get certain moves linked to the story (dash, double jump, mid-air dash) some of this can be resolved with dagger mid-air attacks, but personally I was an axe and sword vigilant, so I didn't use this solution. My advice, first, get the spell that detects secrets when looking on map and those athletic moves, then hunt for secrets. Otherwise, you might annoy yourself to quit the game.
2.some weird quests, but that's souls-like for you. You can use the wiki to find answers.
3.not all weapons have special attack moves and those that have, also have a 50% chance to attack in the opposite direction of your chosen enemy, giving you an pathetic miss, that has no connection to your skill. Devs really need to put all special weapon attacks on ↑ + light attack to fix this issue. I played on mouse and keyboard, don't know if you have this problem with a controller. Speaking of mouse, I couldn't bind my side clicks to any of the game's actions.
4. Death and going back to your last savegame and loosing all your progress is dog shit. This is highly annoying with death from fall damage until you find the ring that negates that said damage.
5. I found most enemies and bosses mid to easy, even on hard. That pose damage and stagger wrecks them too hard, it is a real shame because there are many opponents with some sweet sick attacks (Mutated Louse Man my beloved). On the other side we have Dephil, Blue Magpie and "Miss Homing Missiles" Red Sparrow that make 70% of the game difficulty. A nerf to those 3 and some buffs on the rest would be nice.

Extremely underrated. If you enjoy actual Souls games/Soulslikes (particularly Bloodborne), and you also like a good Soulsvania (e.g., Salt and Sanctuary, Blasphemous, etc.), then this is a must play.

Solid metroidvania, good fun but buyer beware, there's a bug at the 2nd final boss which will lock you out of the final boss. look it up before playing as it soured my opinion a bit, had to download a save file.

This game is phenomenal until you try to use the map. I can't even begin to recommend a metroidvania game in which the map feature does not work at all. It is a blank black screen with the names of the locations randomly placed throughout the entire abyss of what should be the map. The devs have known about this for years and it has still not been fixed.
If you want to play an extremely large metroidvania game without having a map, this may be the game for you. I personally cannot give this game a thumbs up while missing such an incredibly important feature to the genre.
