An RPG where combat is replaced by... painting landscapes? Yes please. The perfect anditode for players who feel like "I'm too old for this sh*t" and don't want to be stressed by an adventure game. It's fun to explore the beautiful island, uncover secrets, and solve NPCs' problems. It''s so dang cozy and sweet.

Adorable game, although not the most straightforward in places. And I don't mean that it was too complicated or anything, more that there was a lot of back-tracking to try and find more boards and fabric and/or buy more canvases towards the middle section of the game. Towards the end (and I'm judging this by how you appear to have to do some things before you do others) you seem to get an over-abundance of both at the point you're not really going to need them so much any more. I enjoyed the storyline and the quests to help the various inhabitants were interesting, rather than tedious. A couple of little extra touches here and there would have been nice though, for example being able to show your raft to Bojan and him commenting on it, or being able to give a book(s) you'd found on your travels to Yunus, or seeing customers going to the apothecary and such would make it feel that little bite more interactive rather than purely storyline interactions. Without spoiling too much for people that haven't played it yet, I loved "the room" and wanted to be able to respond to everything I found in it! Advice to anyone that wants to play it - save often, the game can occasionally glitch and freeze (louder wave/fire crackling noises happened for me each time it happened), and there are some bits that are just so time-consuming to do again if you haven't saved in a while. Had it happen three or four times during my playthrough, and it didn't seem to be a consistent thing that set it off any time (mine happened walking along the plant terraces outside the city, using the travel tea and I can't remember what the other two occasions were). Didn't detract too much from the enjoyment of the game as it was quick to quit and reload.

I enjoy slow paced game and exploration like this and I have not find any other games the way I enjoy Eastshade. Hope the studio will make similar type of game.

Beautiful, relaxing game to enjoy at your leisure. The fetch quests get a little repetitive. I'd like to see more canvas material and more incentives/rewards. After wandering around for a couple of hours doing errands for the town folk, I'm not very motivated to continue.

I think this might have been imagined as a game for children, but I am an old lady and I enjoyed it. This is a very simple game. The animals are very stupid and they are quite funny. Not an action game, more of a walking sim. I would call it 'an enjoyable afternoon activity without hate or discord anywhere' for adult players.

Play this game!! This isn't a big game with a long story and a huge world (it took me about 21 hours to complete it and I'm one who loves to explore every nook and cranny lol), but this game will have a lasting impact on me. The graphics are beautiful, the story is simple but well put together, and I love the way the progression of the game was. And to top it all off, you get a feeling of nostalgia afterwards that I haven't quite experienced from a game before. I do think it was a bit slow in the beginning (maybe that's why it's not an "overwhelmingly positive" game?), but I haven't played a game quite like this before, so I think it took me a while to figure out how to put the pieces together. I perceive this game to be like a big puzzle game - you have to talk to everyone and interact with everything to get items and/or clues for what to do next. I love how everything connects together and how everything in the game feels like it has a purpose. Because everything feels purposeful, the world map does feel bigger than how it looks like on the map. I did notice a few bugs/glitches while playing the game, but none were major. The biggest bug I remember is when my boat would occasionally fly and land in the water far away when I tried placing it down, but it would float back to me and I could continue on. I think I exited and loaded the game once to fix it, that way I didn't have to wait for the boat to float back to shore. I thought it was more funny than an annoyance lol. I am beyond excited for their next game to come out, Songs of Glimmerwick!

I saw this game mentioned on youtube and bought it after checking a little more into it. I am enjoying the game. It's a pretty world to explore. Characters give you things to accomplish, so it's not boring. The game is very relaxing. I had to come back and add some more. This game left me not wanting to leave it. Thank God these 6 people got together to make this wonderful game. 6 people did this!, Not including the cast! Amazing! Such a wonderfully impressive world! I will replay this many times. I loved every minute of this game.

Skyrim light, the walking simulator. Well, i miss Skyrim, so i like it. But you are a painter, not a hero and you have a brush, no sword. Everything looks nice and everyone is nice. You can walk, talk and explore a small beautiful world. A game for dark hours and when you need something nice.

Lately, that is for the past few years, my focus has shifted to indie games. This particular game is an auditory and visual delight. Simple story line, semi-linear play, nice graphics. I've played through twice, getting ready for a third. I like to revisit it every so often just because its such a calm respite from both other games and honestly, life. It's visually stunning, and peaceful. Get it on sale if you can and enjoy!
