Scrounge, fight, die-repeat in a corporate dystopia where citizenship is lootbox RNG. Comic-book nihilism meets Darkest Dungeon's meth-addicted cousin. A Skinner box cosplaying as rebellion. You’ll hate yourself for how many hours you feed it.

Every now and then I think to myself, why don't I give this game another try? Level 1 - 4: This game is fun! Why do I always quit after a while? Level 5 - beyond: Oh... That's why... This is just a remind to my future self: There's no balance after level 5, stop wasting time.

It's like a classic Final Fantasy RPG, but instead of tricking out you gear with gem powerups they come equipped with cards that go into your hand. Game-play is fun and battles are challenging at times depending on the buffs & debuffs in play. Good exploration mechanic. Cranky, half mad AI's you need to deal with. Traps and puzzles. All around good times. I really enjoy playing it. Reccomended.
A solid deckbuilder game

What this game is:
This is a good deck-builder game with a space theme, some RPG elements, and OK game mechanics.
How does it work?
You are a scavenger making a living by recovering material from space derelicts and junk. You are hired to find a legendary mothership with advanced technology by the governor of a system linked to the Mirror Worlds. You are offered citizenship in the Mirror Worlds if you accept the mission to find the location of the fabled mothership. Dangerous work and a lot of combat is awaiting you and your team!
How does it perform?
It performs well, has some minor bugs, and provides good replayability. The game is decent, and once you get the hand of it you will enjoy it, at least for a time. If you try to get all the achievements though you will find that it may become quite repetitive and grindy.
The good points:
The game in itself is not complicated, but the variety of classes and abilities will provide some differentiating playstyles and choices to be made in order to make it to the mothership. Replayability is good, you can vary the gameplay by combining differents classes of characters with varying abilities. Graphics are cartoonlike with minimal animation, but that esthetic works well for the game. There is an Arena gaming mode that provides some challenges and fun. There are two DLCs available to improve gameplay and provide new events in the game. You get Achievements and Steam Trading Cards. It can be played on a 10 years old PC and does not require a lot of graphical power. It will take between 2.2 to 2.5 GB on your HD.
The bad points:
(i) It has some minor bugs that are not life threatening. The worst one in my opinion appears in battle when there is a huge worm with high HP associated with humanoid characters. The game switches the stats from the worm on one of the humanoid characters, and make it impossible to hit it directly individually. Group strikes will affect it and make it lose hitpoints or acquire negative effects, but you have to wait until the humanoid character is dead in order to be able to attack it directly one on one. If you want to get all achievements, it is probable you will find the game grindy. (ii) Some events linked to the Achievements are randomly generated, and in some cases you will have to replay many times in order to finally to get the Achievement.
My take on this:
The game is decent and provides good value for the money. It is not the better in its category, but has solid game mechanics, good replayability and solid value all around. My recommendation would be to buy it when it is discounted.

I bought this game hoping for a "darkest dungeon in space" experience, but was disappointed early on and it didn't get better. The animations are nice, but that's about it. I started once and played halfway through, but got too bored and canceled that run. Around maybe 1-2 years later I tried it again and finished, but with a similarly bad experience. - the fights are boring and monotonous, mostly too easy and if you randomly lose one you can just reload and probably win next time. No strategy. - item management is really annoying, there is just so much stuff you find and it all differs in tiny weird ways. Not fun to go through and optimize. - the missions all feel similar, mostly too easy click-throughy, sometimes weirdly (but not interestingly) challenging puzzles. - the story is not well integrated. You start in a space station for some reason, then fly around to the "derelicts" to explore and fight monsters, but it all feels a bit pointless. The final revelation is interesting, but has nothing to do with the game otherwise. All in all, it feels stitched together in a hurry, to check off some checklist items considered necessary for a game these days. But it has no thought-out concept. I wouldn't buy it again and won't play it again. That said, I've never built a complex computer game myself, so who am I to judge?
