Take a break from the usual metro-crawling to take a boat to the infamous Black Sea. There, among the ruins of an age long past, you’ll face the vicious fauna, hostile natives, cunning pirates, and something far more sinister than all of those.

This game was already save-scumming simulator, but this DLC slog fest, for builds you will have to completely cheese trough encounters.

The black sea is as beautiful as it is interesting. Every location feels like you've wandered into a museum with no one left to explain the exhibits. Tons of equipment to discover, and puzzles to solve ♪. Easy recommend if you already enjoy the base game.
You may have trouble with the persistent raids taking a toll on your camp supplies. This is easily solved with a trip north and a show of force.
Later, pipeworker.

Definitely don't agree with the consensus on this DLC. The story, attention to detail, and world-building are incredible—as is par for the course with Underrail—but the gameplay is where this DLC struggles. Heavy Duty, the other DLC, is often lauded as being the most difficult content this game has to offer, but I personally felt that Expedition deserves that moniker, and regrettably, not in a good way.
The enemies are, quite simply, either annoying or painfully difficult. The water combat is terrible too. Worse yet is the level design—it is quite simply an annoyance just to get around in Expedition—and worse yet, the quest design eclipses the base game in obscurity. While I personally enjoyed the no-handholding approach of Underrail generally, Expedition takes it far too far. There's one particular element involving a certain easily missable, yet critically important item that I find to be a particularly egregious example of this. If you know, you know.
The new weapons and items are great, as is the content found in the base game areas (in particular Dude's quest), but I don't think they make up for those other issues.
In conclusion: the story is good, everything else suffers. Even if it were a perfect DLC, though, I would still not advise a purchase on account of the developers' egregious conduct towards modders.
