As a fan of Surviving Mars and other Paradox titles, I beta tested this game when they first released it and I feel like I have to recommend this teams games as much as I can. They were great about feedback during testing and these games are super fun to explore every time.

Fun game overall. Would recommend trying without DLC at first. They are not bad but throw way too much at a new player just learning the ropes. Personally I do not understand most of the negative reviews lately. This is a survival builder game. More accessible than Endzone 1 but still throws good challenges your way. Yes the game will have a lot of micro at times but that is how survival builders are, otherwise you are not fighting to survive. Graphics and music are great. Few bugs but most with DLC that I have encountered. Overworld map can be overwhelming and more RNG than just a regular map with what resources/outputs you have available. Overall thumbs up, worth picking up especially on sale. Very similar game arc as Surviving mars. The base game and a couple DLC are golden, the extra DLC are sometimes nice, and sometimes can ruin your experience, but luckily you can disable any of them.

I do enjoy this simulator with different scenarios. They are adding to it consistently.

7/10. Not a great game, but an okay game. Its worth it if you get it on a 50%off+ sale. It will keep you busy for hours. The story is very thin and there is very little lore or investment in making this a unique experience. The enemies are not interesting and very 1 dimensional (or no dimension). Diplomacy doesn't exist. The "surviving" doesn't take much to figure out and the difficulty comes from having to demolish/rebuild as you go along since you cannot just move structures, so most of your plays will be very unorganized. The graphics are actually quite low for a game in this era. It isn't stylized in that way either, its literally poorly optimized, blurry images and low res sprites. The music is alright, but nothing Ill ever want to hear again. I got the radio DLC hoping it would add ambiance...it add voices and irritating songs about being 'lonely' that is bleh. Dont get that DLC, waste of money. Id recommend this if you have nothing else on your plate at the moment. I had expected more from a Pdox game, but this was very much a college project.

A fun city builder that takes a different approach to the genre. It was fun but it has its flaws. The game gets pretty repetitive after a while and once the ball starts rolling it gets rolling fast. Once you are through the learning curve it is just a matter of time before you will win. It certainly was not the most challenging city builder I have played. That being said it was still fun. Good for a play through but it didn't leave me wanting to come back for more. Get it on sale.

This game is really bad. It is interesting at first, but disintegrates in late game. The DLCs all feel unfinished, because they are, and there are major bugs which have been left unaddressed. The "replay-ability" is essentially null, as the bugs make certain aspects of the game unavailable. This was both my first Iceflake and Paradox game; definitely not impressed. Hopefully they do something worthwhile in the future.

Behind this game is a enjoyable experience... Until you install all the DLC. Then it becomes 10x more stressful. So think about things before you DLC.
