If Batman: The Telltale Series gave you decision-making anxiety, The Enemy Within will have you questioning your entire existence. This time, Gotham is even darker, the stakes are even higher, and the Joker? Well… let’s just say he’s your problem now. The game throws you into impossible choices—befriend John Doe or push him away? Work with the villains or take the moral high ground? Tell Alfred to take a break or keep making him suffer? (Seriously, just let the man rest.) Every decision shapes Gotham’s future and the Joker’s destiny, making this one of the most personal and gut-wrenching Batman stories ever. 10/10—because turning the Joker into a hero or a nightmare is somehow your responsibility.

Just as its predecessor this version wasn't afriad to play around with the Batman mythos and did a very good job prortraying the Batman characters in a new refreshing way.

BUGS BUGS BUGS.. WHAT IN THE HECK IS IT WITH YOU PUBLISHERS SHOVELING BUGGY SOFTWARE!!!!! The story is interesting but the game just is complete and utter crap. When its not crashing its glitching out with the 'adobebloatwarecrap'. This makes continuing impossible without restarting over or exiting and re-entering this craptastic pile of dog poo game. What the heck? Don't waste your money because its just terrible.

This is the second telltale game I have played and the exposure to the villians in the batman series as well as the development at john into the joker is great storytelling. I would recommend this game to any batman enthusiast.

This was hard to review. I haven't played any of Telltale Games' games twice, so I don't know how much the stories might differ in the end. Visually, this looks pretty good, but the problems are on the story side. I made a few choices by mistake and swayed the story in the wrong direction. It would be nice if there was some kind of possibility to rewind or select a checkpoint to avoid mistakes. However, this is more of an interactive movie than a game, so the story should progress the way the player wants. Because of a single mistake, it is quite a lot to play the game again. The version of the story I played wasn't very good. Partly my own fault, but the name of the game could rather be Bruce: The Enemy Within. Far too many people know that Bruce is Batman and this was a big relationship mess. Some other version of the story might be better, but unfortunately I have to give this one a thumbs down.

Took me long enough, but I've finally finished Batman Season 2. This was absoulutely amazing, choices actually mattered and I love how whatever "John" you get, has a different episode completly for the finale. (I got Villain Joker). This game was so much better then season 1 and I stood up and clapped when it finished. The story was very interesting and kept me on my feet, it had me questioning the choices I made and had to pause the game a few times to think. Batman Season 2, is one of the best telltale games I've ever played. Overall rating: 10/10

Game looks and plays better than the first one. Choices felt tougher, but too many people know Batman's identity. Ending left options open for a new game.

Very nice! The second season was great in terms of events, choices, and how they connected to the first season. The Joker’s development from a good person to a bad one was really well done, and the voice acting was excellent. However, there was a bit of delay in the events, and some episodes felt short. But still, it deserves a 9/10. 🖤🦇

Telltale did an outstanding job with this game. My choices fully mattered in shaping the story, and I have to give huge credit to the team for improving on the previous installment. They took everything that worked and made it even better. It’s a shame that a third season is a long way off (if it ever happens), but if you have the chance, experience this masterfully crafted Batman story as soon as possible—it’s made with an incredible amount of passion and effort. I really enjoyed the side characters, especially Bane, Riddler, and, of course, Joker, who is the true highlight of this game. Depending on your choices, you get two completely different versions of Joker—either the Vigilante or Villain—and both are executed brilliantly. After finishing my playthrough, I immediately searched for the alternate Joker outcome, and I was thoroughly satisfied with both, which speaks volumes about how well this game is written. The post-credits scenes add depth to the aftermath, and the two major choices leading to different endings left me craving more. I personally think the Villain Joker route has the stronger emotional impact, especially with how it ties into Alfred’s decision, making it my preferred ending. The action has also been improved, with better camera movements and a stylized comic book aesthetic that enhances the experience. However, my main issue was how many characters ended up knowing Bruce Wayne is Batman. I didn’t enjoy constantly being blackmailed or pressured about my identity. To be fair some reveals were optional—for example, Tiffany knowing could be optional if she joins the Agency, but the looming threat of Batman’s identity being exposed never fully goes away, which doesn’t quite align with how the original Batman would handle things. That said, I had an amazing time playing this game. It stands among Telltale’s best works—if not the best—and it’s heartbreaking that we may never see another Batman game from them. Yes, I do consider this a masterpiece when it comes to choice-driven adventure games. If you’re a fan of interactive storytelling, this is a strong recommendation.
