the idea on the game is good. unfortunately the game lags way to much on my system even with all the features turned as low as possible. it's like the recommended requirements is the minimum requirements to play this game and you need to at least have today latest top range system as recommended requirements

Well I really hope the bugs get fixed. So far the game has a neat concept. Some of the tasks seem way too repetitive. Some of the machines that are supposed to be able to goto auto don't. The game freezes up alot,to the point of killing the game and losing your save. Not much as far as tutorial you just have to get in and figure it out basically. Knowing what I know with the game so far I would not buy in this state, but possibly when everything is worked out I think it will be a great game.

Not bad at all, and the developers are constantly updating which is nice. Personally I feel the price point could be better and would recommend looking out for the sale. That is of course you like the simulation genre. Enjoy!

What a terrible experience! I should have trusted the reviews. First, the game will not allow me to change resolution in fullscreen mode no matter what. In windowed mode when I select my monitor resolution, 3840x2160 (4k), it stretches out across both my monitors and freaks out and I have to close the game.
The audio settings have a music slider, AWESOME, right? NOPE, it is grayed out no matter what! Enjoy the nonstop royalty free slop!
The game settings? The back button does NOTHING if you enter the settings you are stuck forever! ESC? NOTHING! On screen back button? Doesn't work! You literally have to alt+f4 to leave the settings!
Just trying to launch this game has been the single worst gaming experience I have ever had!
Shame on PlayWay for working with these incompetent fools.

Horrible/non-existent onboarding (introductory tasks to familiarize the player with basic gameplay concepts), ugly UI and the map is absolutely useless due to how terribly it's designed - along with, presumably, every other aspect of the game.
Here's my entire 40 minute experience with this game in Story Mode aka tutorial mode:
I threw a few pieces of junk in a dumpster at the direction of Voice Over guy, wandered aimlessly in the general direction of where I assume the next 'quest' is, found a garage with 3 vehicles that apparently are mine, proceeded to drive one at absurdly high speeds towards some sort of Junkyard that I can buy for two million dollars despite only have $200, which the game explained that I'll have to pay off at some point.
Then I spent the next 30 minutes clearing Parcel A of debris because the quest text in the top left of the screen told me to, (which was a highly unenjoyable experience by the way) only to be greeted with some disappointing follow up quests where I accessed a computer and navigated a horrendously amateurish interface to place some sort of production building? I could only guess, as it was nearly impossible to understand the poorly translated names for everything. At this point I have no idea what this production building does, why I need or want it, or what any of this has to do with salvaging or restoring junk. None of this has been explained and nothing about the gameplay up to this point made me interested in finding out.
Between the terrible introductory quests, ugly map, mystifying naming conventions, and unrewarding 'salvaging' mechanics I had no choice but to uninstall and refund the game.

Junkyard Simulator is one of my "Don't Uninstall" games that gets hotfixes, updates, and additional features added to the game fairly often. I've never been disappointed with this game, but when I get pulled into another game from my library, Junkyard Simulator is a great fallback for causal gaming.
...and when I come back there's often a new feature added or its easier to do something in the game than when a last played a few days ago. I truly appreciate the solid dev support with programming, tweaking, and responding to feedback. This demonstrates to me that this is a Passion Project for them!
For dev support and the ease of jumping back into gameplay after being away from it for a while ... I'd categorise this game alongside Ship Graveyard Simulator 2 and No Man's Sky. Hardspace Shipbreaker hasn't seen much dev activity for a while since it went 1.0 release, but otherwise I'd also put it alongside these titles. Very easy to return to and addictive while playing.
After a long day at work, I don't always want an adrenaline-fueled challenge...sometimes I need an enjoyable experience and an easier win. It feels like fun instead of a grind when I'm cruising around the open world in Junkyard Simulator looking for the specific metals and materials I need to unlock my Steam Achievements as well as to make quest deliveries.
It's good that you can follow the storyline guide missions as well as just doing your own thing and exploring ... while breaking stuff! Whether you like the small-scale hands-on of running around with your sledgehammer picking up salvage by hand, or medium scale of clearing out a storage locker full of random treasures & junk to scrap, or large scale where you tow & feed cars into scrap machines or can pick up with the giant electromagnet crane to dump into the compactor ... this game has a lot of ways to get you earning money in the game.
The expansion (not a paid DLC ... an actual expansion they released) gives you your own scrapyard you can run and expand on your own that generates passive income while you're out doing everything else I mentioned.
There's also renovating and refurbishing that can earn you collectable cars (by finding a scrap junker car and lovingly rebuilding it piece by piece) or you can increase the value of certain items for sale to collector NPCs in the game.
Have fun! Give it a try ... and if it's not 100% hitting all your expectations, then just sit tight since the devs continue to work on it until it is meeting community expectations!
Seriously, give it a try!

I tried to get a refund after giving the game a good chance but I was denied, so here is a review.
Negatives:
* Tutorial is poorly constructed, Go here, do that, go there, do that. There is no time to really settle in and understand the poorly described lesson before being rushed off to the next.
* Poorly designed map with big pictures for no reason other than to confuse.
* Everything is unlocked from the beginning, vehicles, machines and locations. There is no sense of progression that you would expect from a game. Early in the tutorial you spend a good chunk of time cleaning up a junkyard that you just bought for two million when you have but $200 to your name. Assigning a worker to some workbench who just stands there and shrugs the whole time, appearing to not know what he is doing but somehow generating some form of income.
*Yes, the game does tell you that you can go off at any time and do what you want, but with no real goal or quest line, I didn't feel like I could.
* The narration, please, nothing is ever funny all the time, "he he".
Positives:
* Great concept
* The two or three machines I used had the ability to automate them through the upgrade system, which was a relief as the controls and views were a little clunky.
I really want to enjoy the game, and with time, maybe I will, but there is some serious work that needs to be done for that to happen. Yes, I am aware that it is early access, but now is the time to speak out so that some of the issues can be addressed.
