This game is not for everyone, if you like surrealism and visual art, this game is for you. The game gets better the further you go.

I really enjoyed the art style and the overall setting of the game; I liked that it seemed to pull the characters and environments from those illuminated manuscripts, and some of the puzzles were fun to pick apart. The controls were okay but a little hard to get used to, and I wish there were automatic checkpoints after each stage, as well as the ability skip the cutscenes because they sometimes went on a little long. Some of the puzzles' solutions did not feel fair or correct, like attaching a pair of antlers and a lit candle to one characters head instead of just using the lit torch the other character had; I honestly thought combining parts of a puzzle with a character you play as was a really creative puzzle in itself, but that one did not feel right (the next part with the mirror puzzle made more sense in my opinion). I didn't get very far in this, I'm not sure how long it is but I spent about 40 minutes playing it, and several times I feel off those elevator platforms and had to restart from my last save, which became frustrating quickly. The two biggest suggestions I'd have are to add a lever under any elevator platforms you make in games like this so we can recall them if we fall off, and add a quicksave/ checkpoint system, maybe even in place of the standard "Load/Save Game" menu options. Really each stage did not seem very long, so just saving at the start would work fine. Good luck on your other games, and I hope you use this artistic style again, it's very unique!

Fantastic adventure game with fun puzzles, the art direction and atmosphere is reason enough to buy this. This dev has clearly put a lot of time and effort into creating this game, sad to see work that has actual effort put into creating it get drowned in the cesspool of asset flips and other utter wank games on this platform.
