Neat cool game. But it would be WAY more fun if the cannons had more movement and range. I hate that the boat stops as soon as you let go of the helm.

I LOVE IT
I wasn't expecting much for a $4 game, but this was actually a lot of fun! Your entire room space becomes your one-man ship, and you go around sailing and shooting at other ships. Very simple, very entertaining! I'm a poor shot, but I realized that my arms are long enough to steer and shoot at the same time, so as you can imagine, fun times were had.

Well worth the cost of a cup of coffee. There is not a lot to this game, sail your boat, go over to the cannon and fire. I have a 8 year old boat who really enjoys being a pirate for a few minutes. Adults will get bored quick, but the fun will last longer than a tall latte.

as the last update is from 2018 it seems the devs have abandoned the game, in its current state I do not recommend buying this game unless you just want to donate to the devs.
The game has potential but its got a ways to go. movement feels really slow, your ship only moves when your holding the wheel, cannons have limited movement and take forever to reload, no idea what the health of your ship or the enemies ship is, has multiplayer support but no one is in it, and a lot of other issues.
needs health bars, steering without touching the wheel (or at the very least continues moving in the direction you set), cannons need to reload faster (the addition of a reload time bar or even make the player load the cannon with cannon balls off the deck would be awesome), would also love to have a co-op mode where you can have other people crew the ship with you.

This is not the pirate VR experience you are looking for.
This experience puts you on a small boat with only 3 things to interact, 2 cannons and 1 steering wheel.
The awful thing is that there is no other possible way to switch between those locations on your boat other than Room-Scale movement only. If your playspace isn't big enough then well you are fucked.
But you don't have to be sad if you cannot play this game, you don't miss much.
There are only a couple of islands around which you are not able to explore anyway because you cannot leave your ship. Better stay away from them really far, if you are clipping into them underneath the water your ship gets crazy and you feel you have to puke into the ocean instantly - no joke - you will get motion sick within seconds if this happen to you....
Besides that you are moving your ship into position for firing onto other ships. No fun either.
Your ship stops moving as soon as you let your grip go from the steering wheel, walk 2 steps forward, try to aim and shoot the other ship, find out that you cannot hit it with this narrow 20° aiming angle, go back 2 steps, grab the steering wheel again and fine position your ship once more, go again 2 steps forward, try to fire the cannon onto that ship......and if you got it right after a couple of times, destroy it after 3 hits.
Then you go back to your steering wheel navigate your ship onto their loot and pick it up automatically by driving over it.
This you will repeat forever until you exit the game yourself.
Thats all you get for your money. Long story short - Not worth the money ;-O
If you don't believe me, look at the playtime of all the other reviewers

I feel like the area needed to play is a bit too big but that's just my opinion, however I have no idea how to do anything in the game. Everything is so badly communicated I had to search how to start the game, you have to walk over "settings" or "set sail" and when I finally did get on a ship I can't grab anything. I tried to press the trigger once and drag the wheel or just simply hold and pull the wheel, neither worked so I'm either gonna seek a refund since it's just not a working game or just wait till a patch comes in with a tutorial or actually makes it so you can use your controllers.

Unplayable if room scale doesn't match. I play in a 6ftx12 ft playspace. However the game is at a certain rotation where the cannons are past the border of my playspace. No way to change the rotation of the game, even using "reset view". It is just unplayable.

Fantastic fun at a great price, simple yet extremely entertaining, simply grab the wheel to start moving turn it to turn then line up near a ship and grab a cannon to shoot, the ships drop chests which give you plunder.
Leaderboards give it some replayability though be cautioned it will likely require some sea legs for this game because I have an iron stomach and this left me a bit wobbly on sharp turns.
Also it's pretty thrilling when a cannonball zooms past your head.

I played this on Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers and I can confirm that this game works fine without any bugs. However, you will need a room scale setup as the game requires it. The controls are pretty simple, you use grip or trigger to move the mast to get the boat going and the direction you want and you move around the cannon and press trigger to fire from either of two cannons at your sides. So you will need to position your ship correctly to even be able to aim on target.
Nice, cartoonish graphics. Nice music. I wish this game were two player coop option. Or multiplayer. But it's definitely worth $4. Especially for us who live, breathe, and dream to sail the pirate life.

The concept is good, graphics are fine... i expected something simple but fun.
But things are clunkier than i expect, playspace doesnt seem to fit into your real space size, leaving things in positions where real world things get in the way...
Cannons have a really weird/awkward/small movement.
Coop worked fine, but if one dies its a pain to find him again. (tried to play with my kid, but even if he loves pirates, he didnt quite enjoy this one)
I think with a couple of updates to fix the most annoying issues, and adding some qol things would go a long way.
I understand that its a cheap game (bought it in a big sale) but i think it needs fixes to be worth it.
