Played in the dark this game is scary. It's loud, you are truly alone, and you feel lost and out of control. When you finally realize that just looking at the beast is not going to save you all bets are off. My advice is not to run to the next marker because if the beast shows up and you are out of breath – you dead.
It needs a few tweaks. I would like to see randomly generated numbers for the markers. It would be nice if the markers could serve as a safe zone. Some kind of lantern or flashlight would be appreciated. You can see my playthrough with my suggestions as well.

7 minutes played and im already annoyed. Where is the menu to change options like resolution and volume? Its so laggy and barely playable, if i could fix the resolution then it would probably improve. I get its scarier to be minimalistic and be loud but its buggy and choppy as heck.

Pros:
Vague, mysterious threat. You're thrown into an interesting environment with scraps of knowledge to hopefully get you through alive
Freaky-looking monster.
Excellent audio engineering: sound effects cue you in to knowing almost exactly where the monster is.
Cons:
Weird filter/visual effects choices pull you out of the experience.
When you see the monster and stare at it, it'll vanish... and mess up your "vision"... except no it won't. It'll inflict weird effects on your camera as if it were a camera rather than your eyesight.
Gross, violent audio effects that assault your ears with high pitched whines and other noise. These are especially bad when you die because they keep going through the menu and even persist into the game when you restart. These alone were enough to give me a bit of a headache, and made the game less scary and more annoying.
My top concern from your monster game should not be "avoid the miserable irritating sounds caused by dying". Game is sold with immersion as a major selling point, but has both audio and visual effects that break immersion almost immediately.

Start the game up, Audio is too loud. Hit ESC to try to skip what I think is an opening screen to quickly get to main menu. Game closes.
Restart, loud audio issues persist. Hit other keys and eventually discover ENTER takes me to a "main menu" that tells me ESC closes the game, cool. Only option is to hit ENTER again to begin the game.
Some backstory and Lore.
Put into game, basic controls WASD/Shift, the usual suspects.
Game audio still extremely loud, hit ESC to try to bring up an options menu again because I forgot. Kicked back to extremely loud main menu.
Hit enter again to get back into game.
Run around following lampposts and stare down some creature. Eventually for some reason the stare down no longer works.
Creature kills me and blows our my eardrums in the process.
How do you mess something up this bad?

This was a fun basic horror game! I liked the soundtrack and sounds, very intense. The graphics are decent for what it's worth. I wish there was more direction into getting to the end of the game, maybe a more direct path and maybe more lore/story elements. Perhaps at specific milestones, add scripts or reports on Gevaudan. Just an idea. But besides that, I think this game was entertaining and spooky for sure. I recommend everyone to play this at least once.

The environment is great, and the beast is scary. I'll give it that.
But unfortunately that's all that is. There is no menu, options or gameplay explanation. You're placed in the middle of a forest with lamp posts, and you must run from the beast and find a specific lamp post. At least I think that's the objective.
It's a shame because this could have been something interesting. There's nothing wrong with short, cheap games if the experience is fulfilling. Running around in a forest with no indications of where to go or what to do, while trying to escape a monster that spawns right behind you is not fulfilling at all.

So this game terrifies me and I love it. What I DONT love is every 10 seconds I get absolutely slaughtered and it frustrates me because I actually want to be terrified but instead im throwing stuffed animals at my wall and having to cut out most of my "gameplay" recordings because they are definatly not PG when I get killed 30 times in a row. I refuse to use a guide. Fight me. Its a good game tho.

I am usually really forgiving, but this game is miserably bad for a few reasons.
My largest issue with it though is the lack of options...at all...
Want to change the audio? Tough luck
Want to change the video / graphic quality? Tough lucl
Want any sort of options at alll? Tough luck
There is just nothing, and the game doesn't tell you that hitting ESC at the title screen will exit the game, until after you figure out that hitting enter is how you progress to the actual game and receive that tidbit of information.
The audio is HORRIBLE. It is nails on a chalkboard bad. It is not scary, it is just agonizing to listen to.
The game is abysmal.

Ok so, I've never refunded a game before and I sure didn't pay much for this, like half a buck. But the game is so "babby's first game" I am flabbergasted seeing it for sale rather than as some submission to a game jam.
The game is about you finding a certain lamppost... for some reason. You have no idea where it is but as long as you stand close to any lamp post you are safe from the monster which will teleport away after getting too close. So the game is just you running around a mountainous forest at random and as far as I know the forest might just be some ready made asset or auto generated by some map editor because it is completely lacking in distinct features.
But as an artist, I felt some design decisions were insult to injury. The game takes place in the mid 1700s but when you see the monster your vision starts to glitch up. And sometimes when the monster is close by there's some bleepity bloopety sounds to indicate it... who thought that was a good idea for a historical setting?
