This is one of a small handful of self contained climbing experiences. It's quite a competent one at that. It's fairly hard, I wasn't able to complete it. It more or less functions as a Climbey clone, but might be harder to traverse. Graphically, technically, it's nothing to sneeze at, but if you like VR climbing, this will be a dollar very well spent. A bit of a climbey ripoff, but with a nice twist. I like the way the rocks and ice look and i like climbing with the icepicks! it's ok for the price.. it could use some form of locomotion..

It was super fun until I got to the third fourth flag. I grabbed things and just fell over and over again. Best climbing game on Steam right now though.

Only got 20 mins in, but I like it! Great experience for the price. I haven't played climbey, or any other games in this "genre", so can't compare. For $3, this is a nice addition to my library, and will be a good one to let friends/family/etc play to give them an intro to VR, even if I only end up doing 1 playthrough myself.

Lot of fun! Climbing, pulling off jumps across gaps, catching myself mid air, it's a really cool little experience, for less than a quid, absolutely go for it!

This game is super charming and is really quite fun. Although it does have its downsides. The game feels unresponsive and you don't know if your hand is actually holding onto the object or not. I found myself grabbing onto something and then falling because the game doesn't know im actually holding on to it. Sometimes i found myself not knowing if it registered or not which lead me to the situation where i don't know which hand is holding onto what. With these bugs here i think i would prefer to just play Rec Room rock climbing worlds but i do give credit that the map is very nice and well designed

A challenging game! It starts easy, but soon the player has to figure out how to jump / throw himself. That's the part where it can get a little frustrating since it is not intuitive. After learning the jump technique there follow a few hard sections, where the these skill have to be improved but after that it gets easier. While the climbing itself is totally different from the real thing, I felt the same tension while in the section and the same relief when reaching the check point, which is also very rewarding. This feeling stayed thru out the whole game. After mastering the jump I enjoyed the game a lot. I recommend to set the 'throw support' to 'full' and VR beginners should use the 'FOV' setting (in the hand setting menu). I guess other players struggle with the jump like I did. Therefore I'll try to describe how I do it. I use the Valve Index Controllers, I assume on other controllers it works differently. What to expect: When properly throwing yourself you can easily reach the next handle or even skip one.
First of all always keep your head / camera above the handles. So the hit box of the camera won't collide with the course. For the jump itself keep one hand free and straight ahead, so you can reach the next handle easily. Do the jump with the other hand as follows: put the hand straight out then move it in a circular path fast to your hip. Release the trigger before the hand reaches the hip. Try different spots to release the trigger. Not the velocity but the acceleration when releasing determines the jump width.
This is a challenging climbing game. You will really have to plan your movements out to get to various locations. Game does need a better tutorial. I got stuck on a particular location and have no idea how to get across. Still, this is a nice challenging game. Sets itself apart from other climbing games by being much cheaper. Sale Price Rating 6/10

Honestly for the price this is not a bad, but the flaws with the jumping mechanic, and the poor responsiveness to grabbing make this game almost unplayable. A lot of the time while jumping you with only hardly move, the large rocks allow you hands to pass into them which is fine, but you have to grab them right on the outside. You also are about 2.5 feet tall the entire time with no way to change this. All though this says it support Oculus, it swaps the grip and triggers buttons so you have to grab with the triggers.
