The dull dialogue just drags on and on at a glacial pace. I'm sure voice acting (generously calling it that) was a huge deal when this game originally came out, but sitting for minutes at a time watching polygons drone on hasn't aged well. The game also crashed when I was trying to quit.

Fantastic game i almost slipped by in favour of going directly to the sequels. Im glad i didnt.
Bit janky on old hardware and lost some time on the steamdeck. Maybe a game i wont play on the deck but def recommend.

The Longest Journey is such a classic gem. The story is phenomenal and look the visuals were super impressive for its time but now it holds a certain charm that hyper-realist games just lack. It truly is a gorgeous game that deserves to be mentioned on every 'Essential Pc Game' list. I was 7 years old when this game came out, probably about 11-12 when i actually played it and even then I was like 'wow, its like a twilight zone episode'.
Just give this game a legitimate chance and you'll fall in love.

Very artful game reminds me of playing ispy when i was younger also; elements of society and work mentality are built throughout the games enviroment. You experience a lot in this journey.

Classic game my parents accidentally got me as a kid 20+ years ago that I replayed now as an adult. Definitely is a bit dated in gameplay, which is pretty typical for these types of games that are this old. But is a great adventure game that I think is worth giving a go, even now
