Saw this from a video from a spuky scary skeleton and had to get it. Incredibly fun shmup with lots of playable characters and great retro inspired music and visuals. The artstyle is really nice and the mechanics for scoring are really fun when you can chain up medals. There's a coin system that lets you accumulate continues, and every run lets you get points to spend to unlock characters and, with enough points, unlmited continues. I've played another STG game from these devs and feel like all of their stuff can be recommended for all shmup lovers.

Rapidly collecting games during "Shmup Fest". While the art style appears to be geared towards the modern breeds of human - the gameplay here is excellent. The music...is really well composed - but that sliding lead tone sounds drunk half of the time. 8/10 - Too much glissando - IGN

I think this game's lovely. In the time I've played the game so far, I cleared the Arcade mode on Expert and the Expert Boss Rush. The Expert difficulty is the highest in the game and considers itself to be Normal Arcade difficulty. Jet Buster definitely contains quite a few bosses with fast paced patterns. However, getting an Expert 1cc is not that hard since the game throws a lot of score extends at you which are easy to obtain. The scoring system is seemingly quite simple too. If there's more nuance to it, I'm not aware of it, since I haven't played for score so far. I got my main enjoyment out of the Expert Boss Rush where you do not get extends and need to fight all bosses back to back. Clearing this without Continues is a lot more demanding in comparison. The game contains good visual QoL features, like being able to reduce brightness of the background and wallpaper or changing the color of various enemy bullet types. My only complaint about this game is how some characters are much weaker than others.

Interesting classic shmup with some modern conviniences (small hitbox, focus button) . The controls are excelent and precise. The enemyes and bullet patterns are solid but uninspired. you won´t see nothing inovative. You can select between 2 levels of dificulty (normal and hard) and both are well balanced. The presentation (audio and graphics) are average and visual clarity is good . The game is fun. There are extras that you can buy in a shop with money that you can win playing the game. I am not fan of this system, because it requires a lot of grinding. There are high probabilities of stop playing this game before you can buy those extras. The price is a bit high considering other offers in the market and lack of production values, altough the gameplay department as mentioned before works well. In spite of being a bit generic is fun, solid and has modern convinences that make me recomend this game if you like classic shmups.

This game is awesome. Super fun bullet patterns to dodge, really smooth and responsive controls. Funny story. It's got it all. If you can get past the anamorphic animals there's a lot to love here. Finally got a 1cc of normal mode after a lot of tries. And I already want to go back in and try it with other characters and eventually expert mode. Top tier shmup.

This game has some cute character art (especially the new pictures by "Alex"--they should add an extra pic to the bonus store drawn by that artist), and some amusing character banter (as text--a bit hard to read before it disappears though). There is a twist to the game design where the typical bonus coins you collect raise a multiplier value; then if you shoot at more coins with a special gun, they'll turn into "medals" which you collect as currency. You have to do this at the same time as fighting/dodging enemies. You can spend medals to get additional continues, and to purchase new characters and bonuses. One of the bonuses is "infinite continues", which strangely ends up defeating half the purpose of the medals. The game plays like a typical "bullet hell", but its main problem is that the enemy bullets are gigantic, and fill the screen in ways that are nearly impossible to dodge. Also, they move at a speed that exceeds normal human reaction speed. And even if you set a different color for the tiny square that is your hitbox, it's so hard to see while moving that avoiding enemy shots becomes a lot of guesswork, dumb luck, and infinite continues. This pretty much defeats the whole point of this kind of game. I'd say get it if you like the cuteness, but there are other less cute "bullet hell" games that are more playable.

I'm a little biased, I love this kind of game, and I love this kind of music style. I loved the ending it was perfect. I am not done unlocking everything, yet but it seems to have some good replay ability. I've heard some people complain about the music not being all that great, but I thoroughly enjoy heavy viper's work. I think he is very very underrated, and deserves credit for making one of the best sound tracks, I have heard in recent history. It's very yamaha sound engine/sega genesis feeling. If you didn't enjoy sega genesis, or games of that similar vein in the 90s you probably won't enjoy this soundtrack. You know, in reality the snes and genesis had very similar sound engine chips... so if you enjoyed either of those you are likely to enjoy this, if you like 16 bit tunes. Or whatever it is. I'm really in love with the sound of this game. I don't hear it often enough these days in new or um, indie titles? That's just my jam I guess, and I'm very glad I found this game. I'm not often the type to fall in love with a game. Like I've said before in my life though, when I do... I really really enjoy the hell out of it. I happen to be very into furry stuff right now, which is another reason why I like this game. IT came out just around the same time that I got into that more? maybe not more, but just yeah. I would say art style though, could probably in my opinion use some shading in the facial areas of the characters, or maybe just some detail enhancements or style improvements? SO, for that I give them a 4/5 or a 9/10. I love the characters, but I do feel like this artist, has a long way to go in terms of improvement. To me, it feels like this artist who design these characters is mid tier fairly new to art? That's not an insult at all. I'm not sure what exactly I'm trying to say here or point out, but maybe you're looking for a certain style to draw more like? And I get this feeling that it's semi-uninspired and bland generic furry art. I feel like, I'm looking at a my little pony poster circa 2012. Oh, you know what is actually wrong with it I've just now noticed. Um, it's proportions. The art is very nicely thought out, and drawn quite detailed and maybe my shading comment earlier was inappropriate and unnecessary. So, what I really think is needed, perhaps is to... focus on your proportion skills. Like, arm thickness, leg length, breast size, face size. They just need to match up a slight bit more. and then it would be just perfect i think. Anyway sorry for the harsh art criticism. I loved the game and the art very much, thank you for a great product. Would buy again. 9/10. Will keep an eye on your game releases. For in the future. Again though(here's my fairly biased opinion or review of this product), Art stylings 4/5; Music 5/5; Gameplay 5/5; Character selection/store asepects 5/5 cool idea. Difficulty and or ease of playing. Good amount of casual and hardcore aspects. Good balance, makes you feel welcome, as a noob and also satisfies the elitist in you. I like it a lot. One downside, I don't have enough money now to go see battle angel alita. : (

Way better than you might think. Fast action, medal chaining without drop/reset (aside from death), caravan-like stage segments, fun soundtrack, cute atmosphere.
