Solid game. doesn't really hand hold, learning the mechanics was simple though. music works, very emersive and sets a pace to make you want to get a better score each time. the bosses have a learning curve to them but not so much I felt annoyed. Its different, addictive and simple mechanics that will take plenty of time and fun to master, just a solid game. If you want to try something different from the typical VR formats I would suggest giving this a go.

Virush is simple yet entertaining game that’s easy to pick up. The graphics are simple yet stand out well, and the controls are dead simple. The core gameplay is nice, easy to get into and makes good use of the entire space around you. The game could use a bit more polish, but for the price it’s available for, you can’t really complain.

If you liked Xortex but thought that there was too much shooting, this is the game for you. It didn't manage to hold my interest, especially since you have to start from the beginning every time you die and you die every time you touch something. Even Dark Souls is more forgiving...

This game is absolutely great because it's deceptively simple...and as such becomes so addictive.
It's basically a MUST HAVE game to get introduced to the possibilities of VR. It's delicately designed even though minimalistic. And the music evolves in complexity as you pass levels in the game.
I love the fact that it really takes advantage of the entire 360 degree around you yet you never have to worry about the "real space" around you because you only have to rotate on your center and move your head.
It's kind of space invaders meets space command + super cool music
And as a non gamer by jumping in early I got to be the high score on one of the modes you can unlock by reaching thersholds in the game ;0)

I played this game on the Oculus Rift with Touch controllers without any problems . The game seems very simple from the video gamplay on the store page. And the tutorial explains the very basics so you'll know what to do at the start. But once the bosses come into play, the game does not hold your hands. Gameplay soons becomes very frantic and somtimes confusing.
The game will use the 360 space around you. But I found that if you only focus on what's happening 180 degrees in front of you, you'll mostly be fine. The game music is good. The graphics are simple, yet well done. Enemies look unique from other VR games. In fact, the gameplay itself is pretty unique. I don't think I have ever played anything like it.
At the sale price of $2.99 it's an easy recommend. Spherical gameplay with unique gameplay to it.
