I've played and beaten this game on Xbox first, twice. It is so much fun. I have now played and beaten it once on PC and I am working on my Armageddon NG+ playthrough. I love this game and I really hope they make a Strife game as a single-player like the first three horsemen. Darksiders Genesis was "ok" but still holds nothing to how good the first three Darksiders are.

This is a fun game if you go in knowing what it is. Don't take it too seriously and enjoy the comic book story. My main gripe was performance, but switching to "windowed fullscreen" fixed the stuttering and I didn't have any issues after that. The main character, Fury, is insufferable, as is her companion. Just roll your eyes and get back to the combat and exploration, which is actually pretty good.

Its pretty mid. It doesn't feel amazing like darksiders 1 or 2, both of them are definitely better. I'm like 8~ish hours in, just killed the sloth and I don't find it exciting to hop into like the other games. The bosses are voiced well, there's some cool mechanics. Where is the horse? Oh. Its dead. Well. Being on foot everywhere sucks. And the difficulty scaling sucks. I don't know. I get super excited still to play Darksiders 2. I don't feel that with this. It also doesn't feel nearly as rewarding for finishing the puzzles. 7/10 with the classic combat. Get it on sale.

The player takes on the role of Fury, the third of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. She is hot-tempered, arrogant, and self-confident, but her journey gradually changes her character. Fury wields a whip as her primary weapon, but during the game she acquires new forms with different elements and weapons. The events take place in parallel with or immediately after the events of the first game. Fury receives a task from higher powers — to find and destroy the Seven Deadly Sins (Bosses) who escaped after the beginning of the Apocalypse. Each of the sins has a special and distinctive charisma and memorable appearance. Although Fury is tasked with destroying the Seven Deadly Sins, she herself goes through the temptations of each of them. Before each boss, she unconsciously or consciously shows signs of the very sin she is fighting against. This is what makes her journey not just a physical one, but a spiritual transformation. - The graphics are pleasant, but some locations lack detail; - The plot was satisfying at the end of the game when it turned out that one of the sins had always been with us; - The controls in the game feel good, but at times there is a lack of visibility in confined spaces; - Leveling up is done in the style of games of this genre and is understandable from the start; - In some places, there is a serious lack of save points, and it feels like they simply forgot to add them there; - They decided not to add the mini-map that was in the previous parts, which makes it difficult to navigate and figure out where to go next. As a result, the third part turned out to be a reinterpretation of the genre, an internal conflict, the personal growth of the heroine, who struggles not only with demonic sins, but also with her own. This is a game about how easy it is to become someone you despise and how difficult it is to preserve yourself.

Darksiders 1-3 - 100% Completion - Short Review Franchise Score: 8/10 Been much too long since i played these games to give them a proper review but decided to make this short review in anticipation and support of the newly announced Darksiders 4 game. Overall this game and the others in the franchise are all amazing games with fun combat, good story and overall just old school gaming fun really and i enjoyed all of them, so if your in doubt, don't be, their great and you will have fun playing them, but as always, It's.. Up.. To.. You, and i'll leave it at that (^_−).

Comparing to it previous successors, it is not good, but it is still fun if you don't look at it as one of The Darksiders, this game is something between Dark Souls and Darksiders and it failed in both, there are still bugs in this game some are helpful and some are not, get it on sale.

If you're a fan of Souls-like games, you should play this one Main Differences Between Darksiders III and Previous Games 1. Gameplay Style Darksiders I & II: More traditional hack-and-slash with light RPG elements. Open world with lots of loot and puzzles. Darksiders III: Leans more towards a "Souls-like" experience – slower, more deliberate combat, with dodging and timing being more important. 2. Combat Mechanics Darksiders I & II: Combo-heavy combat, with multiple weapons and flashy moves. Darksiders III: Simplified combat system focusing on dodges and counterattacks. Less weapon variety, but more emphasis on tactical fighting. 3. Character and Story Darksiders I: You play as War. Darksiders II: You play as Death. Darksiders III: You play as Fury, the third Horseman (or Horsewoman). Her personality is more aggressive and impatient compared to War and Death. 4. World Design Darksiders I & II: More open-world and exploratory, especially Darksiders II with its large maps and side quests. Darksiders III: Metroidvania-style world – interconnected areas that unlock with new abilities. More linear but interconnected, like Dark Souls. 5. Loot and RPG Elements Darksiders II: Heavy on loot, gear upgrades, and skill trees. Darksiders III: Minimal loot. Focus is on upgrading a few core weapons and abilities. More streamlined. 6.Checkpoint and Save System Darksiders I & II: Manual save points or frequent autosaves. Darksiders III: Uses Souls-like checkpoints (Serpent Holes) where you respawn after death, and enemies reset. 7. Puzzle Design Darksiders I & II: Focused more on Zelda-style dungeons, full of environmental puzzles. Darksiders III: Less puzzle-heavy. Puzzles exist but are simpler and fewer, with more focus on platforming and combat. 8. Mount Darksiders I & II : gave players an epic feeling of being a Horseman, thanks in part to their powerful mounts. Darksiders III : Fury doesn’t have a horse, which disappointed many fans, especially since she is also one of the Four Horsemen. 9.Tone and Atmosphere Darksiders III: Darker and more mature tone, with a stronger emphasis on atmosphere and mystery. Earlier games were more comic book-like and colorful.
