Very beautiful art and atmosphere, interesting and thought-provoking story. It's kinda confusing though... kinda (but only a little bit) spoilery bit follows:
I did everything I needed for the individual ritual and then apparently also something needed for the community ritual (which I didn't know it would decide my path this way?), but I ended up with the community ritual ending, despite basically doing both paths. I think it could be easily avoided if the game was more straightforward; I understand it's supposed to be more of ''figure it out yourself as you go'' type of thing, but then it shouldn't decide for you.
Also, the English translation desperately needs some proofreading, and it also adds to the confusion at times. I'm still going to give this one a thumbs up though, as I got it in a ridiculous sale and I liked the overall melancholic tone, the art style and the message.

A wonderfully poetic, beautifull and calm, rather easy point-and-click. Too bad the dev has not put out any other game.

Beautiful arty style, story and music. Short but definitely worth an hour or so of your time. If you like point click or Japanease style visual novels.
Personal Rating: 2/10
Saucer-Like is a short point-and-click adventure with a strong atmosphere. The game contains only storytelling and one small minigame which is very easy to pass. The story didn't get me because it is very spiritual and gassy. I also played in in German and the translation was just horrible. Most of the time it was grammatically incorrect and at one point the translation was missing. You also don't get explained that you open your inventory by pressing "I". That's the reason I didn't manage to do anything for the first hour of the game... In my opinion the strong part of the game is the atmosphere which has been implemented perfectly throughout the graphics and the music. So if you are interested in a game which makes you to think about everything then this might be it for you but for me it was just bored clicking, walking and reading poems.

Saucer-like is a short and rather easy point-and-click where you follow a young man from a secluded village choosing his path in life. My final feeling about the game is positive, the artwork and feelings conveyed are what sticks with me. For the low price, I'd say it's worth it. pros: - Absolutely beautiful painted artwork. - Interesting story with tranquil, serene storytelling, if you can enjoy spiritual themes and such (if you're looking for something action-packed to wow you, this isn't the game). - Multiple endings, always appreciated. - Agreeable soundtrack. cons: - Questionable translation: spelling mistakes! Some people don't mind but this irked me. "Its" was systematically replaced by "it's". And at some point you'll get an information talking about west, I'll tell you right now and save you some time: they meant east. Also I get the feeling that the title must've meant something in the original version but in english it's just... what? - Slooooooow walking speed with no "double click exit" gets a little unnerving, especially in side-scrolling areas.

It's honest. It doesn't pretend, which can't be said for the overwhelming majority of other games. You are preparing for a ritual for our village. Not preparing as in - go there, fetch this, go here, fetch that, but with a meaning. It feels like you're actually participating. Everything - from copulating with a forest spirit to dragon encounter - feels like a big deal, which it is. Saucer-like feels geniune. Play it if you're tired of plastic stuff.

Sauce-Like is a quite interesting but short point and click adventure. It has a very unique art style which also carries over into the cutscenes which are actually fully animated and not rendered in-game. The cutscenes definitely has that anime-look, but more towards the style of Avatar than actual japanese anime. The elements in the story of the game are not new, but as the developer says in their description of the game; it's more than a video game. There's a message to be found and you follow the internal struggle of the main character. I definitely recommend this game and there's a lot of little details about it that makes it unique. Oh also, make sure you meet the Lady of the Forest. She won't let you down if you play your tunes right ;)

pros + Gorgeous looking hand drawn background artwork + Japanese anime style characters and cut scenes + nice somber atmosphere + somber soundtrack + good character animations cons - game is painfully slow paced - character can't run, there is no map and cut shorts. you have to walk so slowly everywhere - too much backtracking and you can't skip cut scenes. - narrative so ambiguous. i can't understand too much what's going on. this game definitely not for everyone. i think it would be better as an Japanese anime rather than video game. i ll give thumbs up for general atmosphere and artwork but as an video game this is not so enjoyable.

For some reason there are no reviews on this, so I decided to try the game and be the first. This is a quick +- 1.7 hour experience with pretty simple gameplay, that is not why you buy this. You buy it because of the beautiful environment that you will constantly be surrounded in. Any fan of anime or even art styles like seen in 'The red turtle' will really appreciate the art style of this game. Going back and forth every now and again to complete your tasks (no spoilers) is made a lot more fun when you are walking between such beautiful backgrounds. Then every task that you complete will reward you with a beautiful cut scene. Story wise it is interesting enough to keep you wanting to know more and it isn't all explained by some prologue or anything that dumbs it down. The one negative thing I have to say is that the English version has quite a bit of spelling errors and incorrect sentence construction, though it didn't draw me out of the experience too much, especially since it is much more of a silent adventure.
