Tales of Maj'Eyal - Forbidden Cults DLC

Improved art and great theme. The tiles and other art for this DLC are much improved over the base game, and the lovecraftian theme gives some good variety and fits in well. The developers could even consider going back to redo some of the more common original art for the base game, because it's clear that the graphics artist has really developed and improved his style over the years.

Another great and worthy expansion for ToME, thank you very much Darkgod!

Even more content! There is never too much of it. Especially for such a low price.

More great content for my favourite roguelike! The new classes are fun and there are even some things to spice up the game for other classes and playstyles. I have no hesitation to recommend this!

If you're looking at this DLC it means you likely already have the base game. You know the quality. Buy this, support the dev and more goodness will come :)

One of my favorite roguelike games adds a DLC that has heavy Chthulu influences. I clap my tentacle and hand in appreciation of this new content.

Darkgod delivers again. Tales of Maj'Eyal is the greatest rogulelike game ever made - it is incredibly deep, being fleshed out with top-notch lore, random loot, diverse classes and builds, incredible secrets, awesome gameplay, and actual role-playing. All of this comes together beautifully to place Tales of Maj'Eyal triumphantly at the pinnacle of the genre. And this expansion adds even more of these awesome things. Not only would I recommend this expansion - I would recommend all the expansions. Get the full TOME experience and support it's continued development.

Very very solid expansion pack. The two new classes are incredibly unique and are once again so complex that you almost don't believe it was all made by one guy. The first class is a very unique class that combines summoning, a focus on AoE and melee power, and it has some very interesting interactions, a melee class with little health but an incredibly powerful AoE basic attack, disease damage, and the ability to consume entire enemies at 10% to digest them. It's refreshing, and for a game that already has everything you could imagine, that's very impressive. But why am I describing any of that? If you know and play Tales of Maj'Eyal you've likely already bought the expansion pack the second you found out it released because of the sheer quality of the game. Once again there are new books and stories within the game, some new items with complex statistics, new zones you walk into randomly and die, two new races and a class I haven't unlocked yet. (but from fighting an assassin who decided to squat into a golden chest before I freed him who also happened to posses the classes' abilities, it seems to be focused on summoning portals and "breaking reality", while doing an absurd amount of damage). Without doubt worth the price.
