Honestly it's a wonderful game; the visuals are great, the premise is simple to understand you're a villain doing villainy things! The mechanics are simple to understand for that it's wonderful. However despite all the good I do have my fair share of complaints. Before getting into that the game doesn't really suffer from any performance issues and I haven't encountered any bugs or issues with regards to gameplay so that's always wonderful. So if you're looking for a smooth experience and a turn based strategy that's easy to learn this is definitely for you!, onto my complaints:
1. You're bound by specific rules whilst playing the game you can only construct armies where heroes are present. Aka leaders are present; the Ai however can construct their armies anywhere at any point meaning you can easily be surrounded by massive forces even on the lowest difficulty because the AI covers the map with massive forces.
2. You have a super weapon you gradually build every few turns which you can use on planets or against enemy fleets. The effectiveness of this weapon feels under powered. The first time I used it I was thinking "If I target a fleet the whole fleet will die" that's incredibly incorrect. It's RNG based so it feels, meaning you may blow up a few ships or several or one.
3. I never feel powerful, you're the villain which is a nice change of pace, however I just don't feel powerful even once you've unlocked several perks for your hero I still feel like certain engagements are being lost in the cheapest of ways. Playing a villain you "Hope" for some power or flex but here I barely feel that way.
